Re: Flash Download
The last I read, Flash would be available in September for the original Droid (although I read Droid2 already has it). :o
8MP Camera Information
Does anyone have any comments (good/bad) about the 8MP camera on the Droid X? I have a Droid (5MP) and it basically takes horrible pictures. The pictures look OK on the phone (thumbnail size) but when sent via email or picture mail and you look at them on a computer the pictures are grainy/pixelated. I've only printed 1 picture and it was grainy with distorted colors. Thank you.
Re: Froyo?
I have a friend that received it Friday (the 28th). He was supposed to have it the 27th but Verizon did not send it overnight as they were supposed to. The release date to stores was the 28th, but haven't been to a store to see if they actually have it now.
I think this is LG's best phone yet - although I've had limited time to explore the phone.
Re: LEATHER CASE WITH MAGNET
I use the Verizon case made for the Droid, which has velcro, and works well. After a little time using the case I noticed that the loops have begun to be "stretched out" and don't form the hook they used to. I also purchased the below case (the Laterale) and it is an excellent made phone case! A little pricer, but nice leather, comes in a choice of color, and it's wearing quite well. I ...
Re: Ordered the Droid last night!
Yes, the packaging did leave a lot to be desired! My phone practically fell out onto the floor when I opened the box. :o
I only use the Verizon case made for the Droid (non magnet). I had used the screen protectors but found it did impede the sensitivity to touch.
I'm sure the Jawbone will work fine. I switch between using a BlueAnt Q1 and a Motorola Endeavor HX-1. Both work well with the ...

You will probably be like the rest of the 99.99% here that enjoy the phone and will really like it (the 0.01% would be voyagerboy). If you've not used a smartphone before there will be a learning curve but the more you use it the more you'll be glad you bought the Droid. I've had mine since November 2009 and have had zero problems and it does everything I want and more! Congratulations! :D
Re: A Round Of Applause For Mupi...
For always writing factual threads as well as remaining a gentleman through all these "voyagerboy saga threads"! :D
If VB is so anti-Droid, why does he have 2 of them (per the thread, by him, of lying to Assuron and getting a 2nd droid)?? :?
Thank you Mupi! :)
Re: software update - Fails To Arrive
sorry to hear that our update may not happen as soon as we'd like:

since you work for VZW, you may already know about this.
Re: software update
I know what you mean! I had heard V2.10 might be released on 01/22 and have been waking my Droid up a lot this weekend to see if I had gotten the notification yet. :o Waiting is the hardest part.....
Re: additional PROBLEMS found on droid
voyagerboy(aka Troll): Evidently this smartphone is not for you, it's smarter than you are. :o You continually post negative comments about the phone, yet do nothing that anyone suggests. 1. If you want to watch tv and/or porn, go to your room, lock the door so your Mother won't disturb you, and use your computer (if you have one). 2. Go back to LG (please!). 3. If you are requiring attention or ...
Re: Swivel Holster Clip
I had used the holster clip on the original Voyager, which ended up scratching it. I didn't buy one for the Dare (I had 4 Dares in 4 months and gave up on it, so I didn't invest too much in accessories). My concern would be if the holster clip wrapped around the top of the phone so much that the guard surrounding the camera would get in the way of the clip (if you placed it ...
Re: Charger
The charger is the same as on the Dare - the cord plugs into the wall charger or directly into a USB port.
BTW - the battery for the Versa is the same as the Dare.
Re: Swivel Holster Clip
The screen would be facing outward. I've tried holsters on previous LG models and they always seem to scratch the "chrome" that surrounds the phone.
Re: Touch Key Pad Problem When Using Calendar
Yes, my phone does the same thing in calendar using the qwerty keyboard - pressing any of the keys in the lower 2 rows (including Shift) causes the event to go back as if you were beginning the event description. Portrait entering works fine.
Wonder how long it will take before a fix is implemented??
Re: Really a Touch Screen?
The Versa does not have the same "touch" as say, the iPod Touch. The Versa does require pressure to scroll/select. I just bought an iPod Touch a week ago and Apple got the touchscreen right - no haptic feedback, but I don't miss it. The only way I've been able to "flick" on the Versa is between the home screens, which of course on the iPod Touch you can "flick" the screen and basically does what ...
Re: V06 is now available
It's a firmware upgrade which means a trip to the store. I checked back with the store tech and this upgrade is to "enhance the operation" of the phone - no fixes (per se). I still have not noticed any changes/improvements in the functionality of my phone.
V06 is now available
Just thought I'd let all Dare owners know. Unfortunately, I do not know what the upgrade is supposed to improve. I upgraded from V05 to V06 Monday and haven't noticed anything different.
V03 vs V05
I had my 1st Dare replaced today due to an "internal memory" problem. When I got home I set the phone to the options I like & then checked the software version. My "new" Dare is V03 while my 1st one was V05. I tried a software update but was shown "no available updates". Does anyone know if here are any important upgrades between V03 & V05? I usually keep my phones up-to-date but ...
Re: LG Chocolate for Sprint?
Sorry Sprint users - Verizon has exclusive rights to the Chocolate name/phone. You can do what I did - I was with Sprint for 6 years and am now with Verizon. MUCH better service for both voice and edvo service. :D
