Re: exactly!
Bluecoyote, you're quick to jump on cellstudent when he took a shot at the iPhone, so I'll ask you... you ever use a Galaxy S phone? If not, how do you know it's garbage? By reading a list of known issues? Yeah, EVERY phone has a list of known issues. The difference is that they usually don't get leaked. Read the Droid forums... you'll see.
I've experienced GPS issues with my Vibrant but after the unofficial update from Samsung I ...
Re: Preloaded?!!!? Screw you Verizon! ! !
Verizon lets you uninstall preloaded apps??
Re: Are you freaking kidding me?! Only for Nexus One and Droid?
It works on my myTouch BUT only when I'm connected to wifi. I don't know if T's network is too slow or what but it's bummin' me out. Kinda defeats the purpose...
Re: IPHONE JULY?
Unless that rep knows Steve Jobs personally, he's just talking outta his a55.
Even IF the iPhone was coming to T-Mobile, the reps would not know about it at this point. And if they did, by some slim chance, they wouldn't be allowed to talk about it.
The new iPhone is coming out in July but it'll be on AT&T. There is a rumor, however, that it'll be heading to Verizon (those rumors have been floating around since day one, though, ...
Re: T-mo & android
The HD2 is not an Android phone and the Nexus One is not a T-Mobile phone (it works on the network but it's not sold through T). The specs on the upcoming myTouch Slide are not as good as the upcoming "Incredible" on Verizon or the "Evo" on Sprint. AT&T has the iPhone and a new one coming out in a couple months. The Garmon phone? It's like Dell releasing a brand new computer running Windows XP as opposed ...
Re: Even More Plus plan
The price of the phone. If you do the two year contract, you get a free or heavily discounted phone. Without the contract, you'll pay full retail price for the phone...

Let's face it. T-Mobile's 3G coverage sucks, especially in comparison to the other three big American carriers.
Actually, I have great coverage where I live. Verizon's got great coverage, AT&T is iffy and Sprint doesn't even have 3g in my area. And in all reality, "home" is all that matters to me and most cell customers. If you're one of the few who actually spend a lot of time on the road in between major metropolitan areas, then maybe ...

My daughter was totally bummed when she lost her Behold and is back to using a Razr. This phone might be a good replacement for her...
Re: T-Mobile USA Experiencing Problems.......period!
Why do I have a nationwide plan with T-Mobile? I travel. I go to LA, Vegas, Phoenix. And I usually drive. Funny thing, I have coverage 99 percent of the way. If I decided to drive off the highway into the middle of nowhere, then T-Mobile (or Verizon, ATT, etc) may or may not have coverage. And if I'm going to be doing that, then maybe T-Mobile isn't necessarily the best company for me and I should consider going ...
Re: T-Mobile USA Experiencing Problems.......period!
It was funny, my buddy used to brag about his Verizon service and how great the coverage was. But on his way home from work, he'd call me and the calls would get cut off cause he would go through a dead zone. What the hell was he paying for if he didn't have coverage on his daily drive?!
I never drop calls, I have coverage WHERE I need it, I don't "accidently" end up in places where I wouldn't ...
Re: T-Mobile USA Experiencing Problems.......period!
So you're saying that we all should be using satellite phones? Even Verizon doesn't have coverage everywhere.
Re: T-Mobile USA Experiencing Problems.......period!
Personally, I think T's coverage is just fine. Why would I need coverage in -INSERT RURAL AREA HERE- if I don't go there? If I start going to -INSERT RURAL AREA HERE-, then maybe it's time to start looking for a company who provides service in that area.
If it's not what you need, then find something else.
Re: $35 change of plan
Lol
Re: $35 change of plan
I don't think most people complaining about the fee are thinking about switching carriers so there's no need to compare rate plans. We already paid activation fees with T-Mobile and don't want to pay these fees again just to change our rate plan.
Some are going to save quite a bit of money (which may make the fees worth it), some will save just a few dollars each month (which could take more than half a year to start ...
Re: $35 change of plan
It really shouldn't take 7 months to start saving money on your phone bill. If it's a significant savings, maybe, such as a company sending their support to India. Yeah, it'll cost a pretty decent chunk of change at first but those savings will/or should turn into profit later on. But the average existing customer won't save more than what, 50 to a 100 bucks in that 12 month period? And someone hoping to save that much money might ...

Tell that to your bank lol.
Yeah, well my bank is known for not being fair. Kinda the way T-Mobile seems to be going with fees for this and fees for that and fees to SWITCH YOUR RATE PLAN??? What company does that? Surely not any of the top 3 (ya know, the same ones T-Mobile is planning on crushing with these rate plans/fees).
We all know that we're not being forced to change plans, as you put it. We ...
Re: $35 change of plan
I don't mind donating $15 to the local high school to get a discount card that I can use to save money at various merchants. But why should I have to buy a coupon from T-Mobile?
Maybe someone can explain what the charge is for and then maybe it'll make sense. Was it that much harder for t-mobile to come up with these plans than it was for every single other plan they've ever come up with? Are there ...
Re: $35 migration fee
Customer care referred to it as "not an activation fee" when I called about it. And it's lame so I chose not to switch plans. Would switching plans save me money? Nope, not at all. I'd be spending MORE money with T-Mobile. So I wasn't about to spend more money each month AND pay $70 to do so.
I've never had to pay an activation/migration/BS fee to raise or lower my plan in the past 5 years, why would they ...
Re: So what?
You're telling me! I hate this town! But it's not that easy.
Re: So what?
I'd have to be a jet-setter to take advantage of the "nationwide 3g coverage" they brag about. But to answer your question about "who cares", I do. I live in an area that doesn't have 3g...
Re: So
Agreed.
Where's this nationwide 3g coverage they talk about on their webpage?
Re: T-Mobile internet
I could be wrong but I think T went away with the "promo" plans awhile back. In fact, when I changed my rate plan to the 1800 minute plan last month online, there was no mention of extending my contract and when I called to backdate the plan change (cause I started going over my minutes before the plan took effect), when the rep made the change, there was no mention of extending the contract.
There used to be "fine ...
Re: Yeah!! faster oening in camera
I've only had two HTC phones (SDA and myTouch) and both cameras took bad pics. A dude at a store took a pic of me with his Wing once and it didn't come out that well either...
Re: Yeah!! faster oening in camera
I agree with you to a certain extent. I take a lot of pictures and for big deal things, I use one of my "real" cameras. But there are times when I don't want to carry around a phone and camera but might want to have a camera "just in case". With my Behold, which took great pictures, I never had any second thoughts about it. "Do I need to bring my camera? Nah... my phone will do." But ...
Fees
Too bad they don't do that for their upgrade fee. Oh wait... they did.
Oh wait... they didn't.
Oh wait... they did.
Or are we on "oh wait... they didn't" again?
Although it's nice that they're NOT going to charge to get a bill, they seem to do this with all their new fees.
They beta test their new fees. Haha
OK... I need more coffee.
Re: Kind of disappointed with upgrades.
She wants a mytouch. Why can't she have a mytouch?
There's a lot more to the phone than checking myspace every 15 minutes or getting your work emails on it. And it has a wifi connection so if she wants to download apps, she can use wifi.
The mytouch is a damn cool phone. Better with a data connection but not everyone will use the data the way others do, especially if they're in an area that doesn't have 3g.
Re: Full Statement from T-Moble USA
I'm being charged just to be... charged. This is crazy. Not that it affects me, but if it was my mom or grandma, they'd be hit with an additional charge just so that they can get a bill!
Eh... I can go either way though. If a little charge like that helps keeps my bill down, then so be it.
Re: T-Mobile in Roswell, NM
I was checking out your Plateau... they have a neat selection of phones!
I've had T for about 4 or 5 years and have never had any major problems with them (up in Albuquerque and down here in Las Cruces). Good prices and they're starting to come out with some great handsets now. But they don't have much when it comes to 3G coverage and I don't even think that we'll be getting it here in the LC anytime ...
Re: Out of Contract & Not upgrade eligable???
Just out of curiosity, what does seniority get you?
So...
Bottom line, is this phone as "neat" as the iPhone?
Re: Why is TMO a slumlord?
Oh, he's just upset 'cause these phones aren't FREE.
Re: Family Allowances with Firefox
Thanks for the suggestions! The funny thing is that I forgot all about it the past couple days and remembered once I came back to Phone Scoop tonight. Tried the Family Allowance page before trying the suggested fixes and it worked. Didn't do a dang thing to Firefox since, either.
Thanks again, though!
Family Allowances with Firefox
I gots a problem...
When I go to the Family Allowances page in Firefox, I get this message... "For the best experience using Family Allowances, we recommend that you download Adobe Flash Player" and gives me the option to download Flash or "Use Family Allowances without Adobe Flash Player".
I have the latest Flash plug-in installed, reinstalled, re-reinstalled, rebooted, made sure the plug in is active, and I still get that message.
I used to be an IE guy (I like hearing ...
Re: Unlock a Samsung Behold for AT&T?
If you've had T-Mobile for more than 90 days (sometimes they make exceptions if you haven't had them 90 days-tell them you signed up under the impression that you'll be able to get a code immediatley), call them and tell them you're travelling overseas. They'll give you an unlock code. If you don't have T-Mobile, call some locally owned cell repair shops... they'll be able to do it or will be able to point you in the direction of ...
Re: Location of International Call Centers
They gonna get it back by training ALL their reps? I've seen a decline in quality with customer care from T-Mobile over the past year or so and have never once gotten someone with an accent. It's almost like everytime I call I get someone who's been on the floor for only 2 days.
Re: phone rings. screen doesn't light up
Mine does that too. Usually picking it up turns it on.
Re: How much for the data on the behold
Actually, you're right about T-Zones but you can use the 9.99 web2go plan.
There's a trick to getting it... Log into your account online, change they type of handset you're using to a basic phone, and then you can add the web2go data plan under "add services". If you don't change the type of handset you're using from the Behold to a basic phone, then you'll only have the smartphone options. If you have a texting plan already, you ...
Re: Behold Data Plan
I went from T-Zones to the "total internet" plan and then back to T-Zones and it works just fine with T-Zones. No difference between the 2 plans other than price. I got lucky though and switched back to T-Zones before it was no longer an option. My maps program works just fine, I found a free GPS service that works too. So yeah... the cheap data plan will work just fine on the Behold.
Re: web2go Q
I believe that you'll get 100 mb for 9.99 since you already have a text package...
