GONE - Left VZW
I left VZW because of this phone.
I left verizon because of the 1 size fits all Operating system of this phone.
I left 6 YEARS of service because it all came down to a $0.50 operating system on a $475 phone.
I hope motorola notices a sales decline because of the verizon OS. Maybe then something will be done.
If VZW would just leave the high-end phones alone, I would be happy... but no...

where the heck can i get wireless headphones to listen to music from my iphone at?!
I know I can't bluetooth to the phone because apple sucks blueteeth...
but still i want a wireless solution.
NOT a headset... i don't want to talk on it, only listen to music...
I rock climb (boulder) 3-4 feet off the ground along a 50' path and want to leave the phone in my back pack on the ground...

SUCKS, So I got an Iphone.
Now before you think this a 'flame' post; realize I love verzion, CDMA voice quality is awsome, its great; on my V9M I would think people hung up on me because when they didn't talk, it was DEAD silent...
Ohh yea; but the phone would only last 3-4 hours of talk / day, and last ONLY until about 5pm after a full night's charge.
the vibrate was like someone breathing on you, and the stripped down OS just ticked me off ...

my last phone was the 8100 but only because the motorola 815 would crash 5-10 x a day because the OS could not keep up with me... when doing a text i would move / type so fast the phone would crash... but i do miss my 815...
if they left the motorola interface on the v9m it would rule...
LG seems the best for CDMA, while Motorola kicks for GSM...
I've sold phones for VZW and ATT... so i do know ...

its the best of the worst. all the VZW phones currently are crap... the only reason I am with them is CDMA voice quality.

lol i LOVED my 8100, it could view text on the OUTSIDE;
also; I can't set txt ringers by person on my v9m wtf... they ruined it!
I may take it back, I have to go to a store and play with some other phones...
the v9m is just fluff... poor motorola...

I say verizon 1/2 assed it... the speaker phone sucks (not loud enough) also the ability to call from the outside w/it closed using the menus, the damn thing talks in a whisper! when are you in a dead silent room? also the Micro-USB port is a joke, the little flap thingy is crap design and no one has a micro-usb cable yet! and yea, no flash...
the phone is all style and no substance... its a young britney spears.

i have the VZW one; and yes i get a huge VZW logo on the outside when open. I would prefer it to be blank... maybe just a black image.

tried that; not on the 'mobile web' the answer is push and HOLD the letter; and it will switch to caps for that letter.

I have tried now forever to type my password in gmail on my V9m's mobile web browser (VZW) and can't get a freaking capital letter! I have read the manual; HOW do u do it?!

I just got my VZW v9m in the mail TODAY; even drove home from work to pick it up over lunch... I was excited until I turned it on. I activated it with the VZW web site; and no go. I can't call out. after 20 minutes on tech support I could make / recieve calls. however no get it now and no mobile web, both of which I NEED to run my business. after 40 min ...

I am talking about flashing not just unlocking but replacing the whole OS on the phone....
either can be done. the limitations on the v9m are limitations of the OS, not the phone. I want the features of the v9 that can read text's on the outside... verizons OS just sucks and blows.

the Verizon LG VH 8600 (which I have) can read txt msgs on the OUTSIDE... while the LG VH8100 newer one, can not.
why would a newer phone remove a feature?!

Ok, so i went to get this phone today... AND, VZW no longer has the $5.00 / month txt plan...
i was told on the phone that i would need to move to the $10 plan (or drop it) to get this phone.
that's bull. i dont want to change anything, just my phone!
with GSM; I can just pull the SIM any time i want to!
that's the last straw! I'm getting an iPhone on 07/28/2007 (when my VZW contract is up)...

I miss the 815, where I could delay a txt msg.
where I didn't have to wait to send 1 msg before working on something else... it would just send in the back ground.
I was progress, the VZW UI is slowing the evolution of the cell phone.

Ok, so I went to pick up this phone last night (with my dad, my contracts not up till May 15), and I had him get this phone.
In order to move the contacts, I downloaded the backup assistant to his old phone before we went to the store, so I could download it to the new one, and ta-da, have the contacts in a few seconds...
Anyway; leave the store, and GIN DOES NOT WORK!

I have the same phone, after going through 3 e815s (they KEEP RESETTING FOR NO REASON!) so, anyway, I LOVE everything about this phone, BUT the camera and my bluetooth headset and the speaker phone.
Camera: WHY does it take the picture 2 weeks after I press the "OK" button? Not only that, but the picture is blurry, shiny, dark, etc. The image is on the screen good enough, then it does out and destroys the picture.

I don't know what it is, but my phone the 2nd of 2, (the first one did this as well). RESTARTS 4-6 TIMES A DAY. the phone will just freeze, then reboot.
