I love this phone. I played with the first Storm when it came out, and there was just to many bugs in it. For me, its a very happy medium, because although I like the touchscreen phones, I hated the tap sensitivity. I love the fact that it feels like you're pushing real buttons. I have only had mine a couple days and am coming from the bold which was a fabulous phone. The ...

Lol, that is a hilarious article, but so true. However, like my husband, iPhone lovers are stubborn and refuse to recognize that there is a major fault with a phone that can do everything, but make calls! lol.

EXACTLY!! I'm at work like, "Check out my new Blackberry! Oh, but wait, can't really show you anything it can do..." lol.

Yea, my husband has an iPhone as well, and refuses to give it up so he is still with ATT, but I get the pleasure of rubbing it in that I have a phone that ACTUALLY works as a phone! I sent him an email yesterday telling him that I would send him a text message, but he wouldn't get it until 5pm when he got off anyways! lol. :P

Ok, so I've been with ATT for 5 years now, and over the years have become somewhat of a cell phone geek-always wanting the newest gadgets. This is one of the reasons I stayed with ATT because they always seemed to have the best new phones. For the past few years I've become a crackberry lover, of course, dishing out up to $400 for the newest and greatest. However, when I'm at work-8 hours a day, ...

Is it because they are GSM carriers and the others are CDMA? And so how do they all of sudden make there service accessible in areas where its never been before?

I have service in my area, I don't have service in my office and most areas in the building which I work. I have been with ATT for so long because for several years they have been the only carrier that covered the small town I'm from in Louisiana. I make several trips home per year and need to be able to have service. I had Sprint before and would never go back, and T-Mobile doesn't ...

Ok, so for 2 years now I have never been able to get service in my office. One bar at the most. So my lovely blackberry bold just sits on my desk idle for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. When I get off at 5, all of my emails, texts, twitters, etc. come flowing in. Well, this weekend, my employers are hosting the National Governors Assoc. annual meeting and BOOM, all of ...

in the Article: Apple Announces the iPhone 3GS forum

I bought the first model iPhone not long after release and was fed up after only 2 months and gave it to my husband and went back to my blackberry. The 3G model did not sell me at all. My husband has been devoted to this phone ever since. We just finished watching the guided tour on Apple's site, and I am so impressed I'm strongly considering switching back. iPhone haters (of which I have ...

I'm having issues with the media sync. Only letting me use the Media Manager, and then I ony have a few files available to me in my iTunes library. When I try the Blackberry Media Sync, it says "Installation Failed to initialize, run Desktop Manager with Administration Privileges". But when I try that, it won't show my phone as being connected to my pc anymore?? I can't open any of my pic files either? ...

TeeHee! Sorry folks-a little over excited about my new Bold. Wasn't really looking for Themes as I was background layouts. Finally found them in my Sample Pictures folder-DUH! You'd think I didn't own a curve for a year and a half! :P

Nope, I'm about 80 days from my upgrade date. I even considered switching to Verizon next week since they're launching the storm for $199, but hated the thought of being locked down to the same phone for 2 years, since I usually want a new phone every 6 months. :P However, since my contract is up in February, I absolutely could not wait till then to get my Bold, I added a line to my account to get ...

Ok, am I just not seeing them or do I have to download them, cause I'm not seeing any themes on my phone except the ATT logo that came with it. The demo in the store had a beutiful background on it. Are there none already stored on the phone??

Ok, so all these other replies were a little too much to read, but I have been with ATT for 4 years and was also thinking of switching to Verizon for the Blackberry Storm. Long story short, I'm not eligible for upgrade till Feb and was finding it difficult to shell out $500 for the Bold. I examined price plans for both companies, and they were very similar. I've heard pros and cons of both sides, ...

I'm in Mississippi. Just wondering though...I get the "New Phone Itch" about every 6 months or so. With ATT I could buy one off Ebay and just pop my sim in or whatever. If I want to get a new phone before my contract is up, how hard would it be if I say purchased it off Ebay or something?

Well, I had the iPhone and gave it to my husband after only a couple months and went back to my curve. Just wasn't feeling it like the Blackberry's (email, ridiculously low ringer, etc.) My husband is big on the touchscreen, but feels the same frustration I had with the iPhone and certin features, so I think we will both find our middle ground and fall in love with it. Thanks for the info!!

Ok, so I've been hyped for about 5 months now waitin on the Bold from ATT, only to find out that with the STEEP price tag and my renewal not up until Feb, it's just out of my reach. So with news of the Storm being only a week away from release, and the great price they're launching, I need some help deciding on whether to switch. I've tried going through their site, but can't really get a true ...

I understand all that. And the GPS, although a nice plus, is not what has sold me on the phone. I was one of the ones who bought the Curve when it first came out and I paid the $399, got my rebate, and sold my pearl to someone else for $150, so I could justify spending that much. At the time they upgraded me, I was a good 5 months from the end of my contract. ...

How do I know if I have a Premier account? Well, I've been with them for more than 4 years. I have a blackberry and my husband the iPhone so we have both data plans plus I've recently upgraded our texting and minutes plan. Thanks for the info though. I will give them a call!

Well, I visited my local store today to go in and get the Bold which I have anxiously been waiting for since it was first mentioned on Blackberry.com. The $299 price, I felt was little steep, but I was willing to pay as I am an avid blackberry fan. I have upgraded many times on my plan a few months before my actual renewal date. The in store rep would usually just wave off the few ...

Also, when I got my pearl, my contract was still like 4 months from being up, but the rep in store gave it to me at the renewed price anyways. Well, now, my contract is up in Feb. Well, I think that does it for me. I'm gonna go with the bold. I usually dont keep a phone for more than six months, but have had my curve since they were first released last year. Wow, thanks, great reply and great things to consider. I have to admit that I am a bigger fan of the querty keyboard over the touchscreen. These devices just don't fascinate me as much as they do everyone else after owning the iPhone. I've owned the Pearl and the Curve and have become quite a fan of the Blackberry. However, I do love my rollover minutes, and since I don't have a home phone, these ...

Well, I am at odds right now. Loving both of these new devices about to come out but have gotten really frustrated with the delays behind the Bold. Have been checking out the Storm, and though I have been with ATT for several years now, I have heard great things about Verizon. The main reason I have stayed with ATT is because only them and Sprint offered coverage in the small town we are from. ...

What's the difference???

Okay, sorry I'm not a cell phone tekkie but what is the difference between the bluetooth feature currently on the iPhone and stereo bluetooth? I've read many complaints about this. Also, I have a Plantronics 550 and can't get it to link up with my iPhone. Are there only certain bluetooth headsets you can use with the iPhone??

Hi, I just got the curve and I was wondering if you could tell me how I change the ringtone alerts for my email and text messaging. I had the Pearl and used to change them all the time, but I can't figure it out on this darned thing and can't find anything that covers that in the manual or online guide. Thanks.

Thanks, it really is a great device. Money well spent! My internet works better on this phone also for some reason. It doesn't take as long to load pages. I'd pretty much given up on surfing on my Pearl. By the way, I was wondering if it is possible to get Windows Mobile on my Blackberry?

I got it today and am VERY happy with it. Its fantastic! Its just like you said, everything is improved and the keys are so much easier to type on. The ringers are way better and louder, too. I could barely hear most of them on the Pearl and didn't really like any of them. Thamks to everybody for all the great advice! I love this site. I never buy a phone ...

Well, I went and got my Curve today and I must say that I am very happy with my decision. It has all the great features of the Pearl, but with a better keyboard, louder and better ringers, and a great speakerphone. I can actually hear the person I'm talking to while I'm driving WITH the window down. The keys are much easier to push and handle. The phone itself is even lighter than the ...

Wow. Thanks. Do you have a curve? How is the speakerphone? I could only clearly hear the pearl in a quiet room and after only a few months, the voice dial has quit working. I've heard great things about the curve and plan to get one this weekend. Thanks for the info.

Thanks. That's what I figured. There's just so much hype over the iPhone, but I really need something more practical. The iPhone seems so neat and high tech, but it also looks like it'll have a lot of glitches and be easily broken. Thanks for the info. You've made up my mind.
