Have the Curve and love it....very easy to use and graphics are great. Over 250 songs on the sd card and the sound quality is good over the speaker. Texting is fast and lot of options exist to make using this phone friendly for everyone. Do it--you'll like it.

Nokia 6682 Ringtones
I used to have access to the 250 mp3 songs on my card as ring tones, but now the only ring tone options are Downloads or the Nokia standard ring tones.
Nokia Tech Support (level 2) said I am mistaken and you can't use the mp3 songs as ring tones. But, I remember being able to do so prior to my bumbling around with the folders.

I experienced a similar problem on my 6230. Could only download 172 items (songs) to my Kingston 1GB MMC card. Did not matter if I formatted the card with my card reader or through Nokia Suites. Finally added another folder to the card. So, when looking at the files using Windows Explorer---you would see 172 songs and a folder in the card. I experienced several problems last Sept. about 3 weeks after I received my new 6230 from Cingular. After spending 20 minutes waiting and responding to questions, the customer service rep. asked me, "Which phone do you want—the LG or the Motorola?" Needless to say, I was ticked.....the local Cingular store replaced my 6230 with another new 6230. I canceled my insurance program with Cingular as they are incapable of replacing my phone with the same model. ...

Thanks for your insight on the sim card. Yes, I purchased it directly from Cingular. Cingular said it is a "manufacturer's problem". As such, I need to contact Nokia directly. Nokia (customer service) said I should contact the closest repair facility. That was Action Cellular (a level 2 repair center) in Salt Lake, UT. Action Cellular indicated it is a software problem but there are no software updates for the Cingular 6230. ...
6230 Power Off Problem
I have had a new Nokia 6230 for about 6 weeks now. Several times (about 6 or 7) I have noticed that my phone is powered off when I wake up in the morning. At first, I thought that I inadvertently turned it off. Nope! Plenty of juice in the battery too. Has anyone else experienced this problem and resolved it? Could it be software as well as a hardware failure? Thanks, ...

I have had a Nokia 6230 for about a month now. Several times (about 6 or 7) I have noticed that my phone is powered off when I wake up in the morning.
