It will release in Europe soon. I highly doubt T-Mobile will carry this phone, but it will work on their network! I bet letstalk.com or myworldphone.com will have it to buy. You can sign a contract with letstalk.com but myworldphone.com is outright only.

My guess is if you are lucky you will be able to find it for $450. You can get the N70 for $479 at myworldphone.com they normally have good prices on phones.

T-Mobile sells phones right now that do not have 850 mhz. Why would this one make a difference?

Cingular would not be able to carry this phone because they operate under the 850 band (Though you can roam in some locations on T-Mobile's 1900 and old AT&T's 1900). If this phone does hit a US carrier, it would come to T-Mobile. IMO, T-Mobile is making a mistake not snatching some of these phones nokia is producing, such as the 6230i, 3230, 3250, 7710, any and/or all Nokia fashion phones, 6111, and any and/or all Nokia ...

Thats right. Its almost exactly like the iPod. My friend has a 7280, and my 7280 will arrive tomorrow. It is basically the same phone, with a different shell and only a VGA camera. Check out europe.nokia.com's demo for the 7280 and you will get an idea of what the 7380 works like.

Phone Will not work

Just got the phone today, went onto sonyericsson.com/fun to download some free wall papers, changed the start up image and now the phone will not turn on. Is there anyway to do a master reset to the phone without going through the settings? Maybe a special keypress while turning on the phone?

I called in today and they offered me a Siemens S66. I told them I wasn't going to do it because it does not have an MP3 player or any form of operating system for me to use. I'm not impressed with lock line at all. Do you think that the Cingular store would allow me to swap it out?

I still love my Nokia, but the point that Cingular was about to treat me like that has just really got my blood going. Im calling tomorrow and requesting a iPAQ as my replacement. I pay $300 for a smart phone with internal antenna and 1.3 meg camera, my three primary requirements. The Treo 650 wouldnt work for me because if i wanted a 650, i would have gotten the refurb from the website for $139 ...

Most of my problems were posted in the first post, but i'll repost them The main problems are: Clears log after power cycle Asks to copy contacts from sim after power cycle. Freezes frequently when closing aplications. Other than that it has been a great phone. I'll suggest a Treo 650, but I'm really not a fan of treos. Maybe I could talk them out of the new iPAQ.

Very upsetting situation.

I have never had a problem that was not fixed with Cingular... until now. Recently I purchased a Nokia 6682. As plenty of you know it had many problems and was recalled. I called tonight to get it replaced with the same thing, or something similar and here is how the call went: She first told me I was ineligible to get a replacement phone because insurance was added to my account 10/15, which is later than ...

It seems you shouldn't be affected by this situation, atleast not directly. But I doubt cingular would raise the rates. If anything they may lower the rates to try and keep the customers. I'm glad I'm not going to be working for cingular when the 90 days are up. This is going to drive Cingular Reps crazy with complaints.

This could possibly drop Motorola far behind in the cell race. Lets just hope they will be able to keep up for WCDMA.

Why 850?

Why did Cingular choose 850 as their band? All the nice phones such as the ones based out of Europe use the 900/1800/1900 bands. I think Cingular really messed up on this one.
