Just exchange through Sony Ericsson. i have had to do this 2 times now. i bought it unlocked before att carried the phone.
sony ericssons customer support was amazing. 1 i repeat 1 automated option and then to a person took me less than 10 minutes each time. however you do have to ship it first for them to fix it when going through manufacturer. took about 10 days to get mine back.

in regards to them being covered. Sony Ericsson knows this is a defect in the phone and have had mine personally replaced twice under sony ericssons warranty.
another issue with this phone that i personally have had is the lights on the side for some reason decide they want to be different from each other. right now mine are red and green... both should be red.

$#!+ happens and technology changes if they where using a tdma treo well that tech is old so they would ahve to move over to it anyway if verizon bought out a company that didnt use cdma they would have to do the same thing... and strangely this argument/ discussion would go on about that also... the reason i keep pointing out verizon is because thats who everyone says is best but yet cingular is in my area and ...

see thats the funny thing im not brainwashed i dont even have cingular so HA i just understand how technology changes... you wuold be complaining just as much if the rumors of verizion going GSM were true but they cant be because of how much it would cost to do that

they didnt buy them to screw them over and when they make them change phones and rate plans they have/had special deals to help those people with the converstion... they didnt screw the customers they are better off but just have to accept the fact that it is a different technology...

ok if cingular is not as good as verizon then why does cingular have over 51 million users???? that has to say something to say... and it is the largest purely digital network... verizon still roams off of analog towers... but both companies have their ups and downs and thats something you have to look at when deciding which carrier you want to use

ha ha thats nothing i work at gamestop and a like 16 year old kid brought a psOne in to trade it in and we opened it infront if his mother and their was a used condom in it lol that was well an interesting event to say the least and i would have hated to be that kid...

a spot formed in the upper left hand corner of the screen how i dont know how or why but they said insurance wouldnt cover it... i dont really know all the details in the situatioin. but it was a treo 650 and i saw the phone and saccording to the customer would not be fixed and insurance would not cover it so they came to me looking to buy another one and signup with a different carrier... ...

ok i had a customer tell me that if the screen messes up on a treo sprint will not replace it nor will lockline. just going on what a customer told me because his screen went bad...

ha ha yea when people bring in a phone they purchased unlocked from somewhere else or from walmart and even though it works on our network i tell them i cant touch that phone i can only help them with ones they purchased from us when setting up a new account.

working for cingular is great where i am at i make great hourly + commission, free rateplans, free employee line, i say go for it if you can get in and t-mobile where i am at just roams off our towers. but thats all just were i work...

ha ha that is really funny... ok ok this is a great one i work for Cingular Wireless and i had a person call and try to sell me a company account for Verizon wireless. i answered the phone "thank you for calling Cingular Wireless" and the person on the phone said yes i would like to talk to you about setting up an account with your company with verizon wireless
