Rich and Eric, I read something about Kyocera entering the Windows Phone space, in addition to demoing a solar charging device? Any news on these items?

So do I, that way when customers complain about having to pay between $300-$700 for a phone, we can tell them: "well, this is what YOU wanted"....

So the fact that at&t slaughtered verizon in terms of wireless customer additions in the all-important 4th quarter of 2009, when the "ads" were in full swing means nothing apparently??

Nov 10, 2009, 3:17 PM

Just as I have thought for years. If people are going to complain and government is going to get involved...just eliminate contracts, and have customers pay full retail for phones...see where that goes...I GUARANTEE within 1 year that people will be begging for contracts, subsidies, and ETF's again....all I'm saying is....pick your poison people...

P.S. You do know that on all the newer wi-fi capable smartphones, that at&t has crippled the wi-fi to only work if you have a data plan...it's something verizon has been doing for some time, and I wouldn't be suprised to see GPS crippled in the near future unless you subscribe to the navigator plan...hahaha If you want the features, pay the money...if you want to sync your contacts and calendar, buy a RAZR and moto mobile phone tools....

Unfortunately, if you wish to purchase either the Bold, HTC Fuze, or the i-Phone; the WI-FI will not work without the corresponding data plan. at&t has locked out wi-fi access unless you subscribe to the data package

THIS DOES NOT GET YOU OUT OF YOUR CONTRACT!!!!!
Jan 28, 2008, 12:44 PM
in the Article: AT&T Raises Messaging Rates forum

To clarify this. First, this is an "optional service." What that means is that if you do not wish to subscribe or use this service, you do not have to. YOU DO have the option to contact customer service to "opt-out" of SMS, MMS, and internet services on your phone. What this is saying is that if you do not do the above, YOU WILL be charged the per-message rate, whatever that may be. This does not constitute a breach of contract or a ...

You cannot keep your number, prepaid/postpaid billing systems do not talk to each other and therefore do not allow a ban to ban switch with the same wireless number.

Re: Front cover breaking/cracking issues??
Mar 3, 2007, 6:30 PM
in the Motorola KRZR K1 forum

I work for Cingular COR, was shipped a KRZR from Moto to evaluate, and after 2 1/2 weeks, the front display did have a crack across the length of it. There was no abuse to it. It seemed to just "crack." Needless to say, amongst all the great features, this has sorely ticked me off, as I have used the V3, and the V3i with no problems like this under heavier use. I already have a replacement, hopefully it's ...

Let it go, ATTWS was NO BETTER. The only reason you think it was is because ATTWS gave away the farm every time...hence, why they are no longer in business. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I HATE PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!! Whew, that certainly helped me alot...
