Re: Release date clarification?

Well the 2 major agents i am aware of have you sign a 2-in-one contract (although you only sign one SET of papers): part is a contract to the AGENT, the other part is to CINGULAR WIRELESS, LLC. THUS when you cancel, you pay cingular $150 and the AGENT $150 = $300. Go straight to the company. Agents suck. If you work for an agent, go work for the company. :)

PLEASE READ MY LAST REPLY. I am an Assistant Manager on the west coast. I work for a company owned store, not an agent or re-seller.

I just placed my order for my store for the v400, but SHIP DATE from our memphis warehouse isn't until the 29th (ie, in store around the 3rd at the EARLIEST!). There is a limited supply and supposedly they are having network issues in the LA area with the phone. The price for cingular stores (company owned, not authorized agents/resellers) is $199.99 at register with a 2 year agreement, with $100 mail-in rebate. if you go to an ...

i have several gsm phones. a couple of which i bought of ebay unlocked. In a nutshell: Every GSM provider locks their phones to their own service. If a subsidy unlock code is obtained the phone can be used on another GSM provider's network (assuming you get service and a SIM card through them). THe only other issue to be careful about is which bands (frequencies) the phone implements. Some european phones only are dual band with the ...

I dont know of anything ATM that will be cooler, but its just how technology works. you get the latest/greatest, and after 4 months or so your phone/device isnt as cool as it used to be. Mainly cause somethin else came out that was hella cooler.

I am also working right now (cingular). I didnt get the email, but from rumors, the release date (1, 2 week of jan) sounds right. Its about what i predicted as well. There is a shortage on cell phone parts (misc) so there are lots of delays, etc.

The dummy phones are just that- Non working models; and in most cases, the buttons are the worse representation. I still think it is a bit on the larger side, but no doubt, this will be a sweet phone. Im getting one for free! YAY! working for cingular has great perks.

yes. the dummies we recieve are very close to actual weight. I agree with you on the Nextel phones.... any nextel phone is like carrying around a small child in your pocket.

cheaper alternative for ppl who dont care about bluetooth or IR. YOU KNOW the v600 is going to be at least $100 more; just for bluetooth.

dummy is heavy..... thats the first thing i noticed. Also bulky... like a sh*tty Verizon phone. BUT it still is going to be sweet. buttons are nice, form is nice, feels sleek... like a v60i on steroids!

i happen to work for a carrier of this phone.. my educated guess would be retail: $350, 1yr: $250 after rebate 2yr: $200 after rebates... as introductory... its one of the most high end phones we will offer. I recieved my motokit (dummy phone and info) so i expect the phone in stock by january 1st if not sooner.

I think thats the way most phones are doing it these days. I have a nokia 3300 and it only gives numbers like that too. But in the message itself, it shows who its from. You can still reply to it.

Cingular has excellent coverage in So Cal. Cali is one of cingular's best markets. They also carry the best selection of phones too... the t616, S305, 3300, SL56, etc. Plus you CANT go wrong with rollover minutes. I think i saw an ad saying they were offering a bonus 500 minutes too.
