Realize please, that Cingular also has a plan that offers 1500 minutes. The difference between the companies is that fact that Cingular includes Mobile to Mobile and the price is 49.99, and T-Mobile does not included it but it is offered at an additional price. On another note. I have had both T-mobile and Cingular. I had better coverage with Cingular, hands down. T-Mobile's service reps are trained better, but the double side to that is that you have ...

It is up to you whether or not you would like to disclose your Social Security Number. If you believe that it is a breach of personal and legal right to provide a SSN to a representative than feel free to withhold it. I personally disagree with the idea of providing a SSN as well, but with, and only with, the SSN can a company prove you are who you state you are, and run a credit check. Companies ...

Nearly half if not more of my customers come in screaming about verizon and wanting cingular. Many customers walk into a verizon store screaming avout cingular and wanting verizon. It just depends on the angle that you look at it. Your oh so "coveted" network has its own problems.

This is also true. You make a good point. It will still benefit cingular though.

I love the Tunnel vision here but here is a reality check. Not all of the customers who come into Radio Shack are looking for Verizon. I also know that other than you there are actually many who really hate verizon.

this is just sad. Radio Shack was Verizon's largest cellular agent. Now they are not. Is that simple enough

Re: Radio Shack WAS the single largest cellular agent in the world!

Even if Verizon doesn't get hit all that much by the loss Cingular will still gain. People who are just randomly shopping for cellular service and happen to walk into a RadioShack will be more prone to sign up there for Cingular than fo to another store for Verizon.

I understand both sides of the argument but the main point is that Verizon will suffer more than Radio Shack (if they suffer). This is a major gain for Cingular and a major loss for Verizon. id doesn't matter how many activations Radio Shack does or if they are/were the largest cellular agent, it will still effect both companies.

That is a actually not a true statement. Cingular is a faster growing company than Verizon. Why would such a massive company (radioshack) just dump their largest revenue company (this is not my opinion but yours)? Because Cingular has more potential.

You have a good point

Re: The REAL PROBLEM here ...

I'll just point out that roughly every major airline is billions of dollars in debt. The only reason that they are still around is the fact that they are used by avery major country and those countries are loaning them money. Cingular does not have that cussion to fall upon. basically you would not have a network to work off of if it is constantly taken advantage of.

So what exactly is your main quarrel with the loss of Rollover Balance during a rate plan jump. If you have to jump you started on the wrong plan...unless you are one of the customers on whom the blame is placed for the loss of this particular privilege. We lost the Rollover because people would start on a higher plan and then jump to the lowest, thus accumulating enough to cover the low amount of minutes at a low ...

Why would Deutsche Telekom want to sell T-Mobile! Countries where T-Mobile operates GSM networks under the "T-Mobile" brand Germany 28.2 million United States 19.2 million United Kingdom 16.1 million Czech Republic 4.5 million Hungary 4.1 million The Netherlands 2.3 million Austria 2.0 million Slovakia 1.9 million Croatia 1.7 million

T-Mobile is a group of mobile phone corporate subsidiaries all under the ownership of Deutsche Telekom. (FYI: the T stands for Telekom) T-Mobile also has financial stakes in mobile operators in Eastern Europe. Globally, T-Mobile has 109 million subscribers, making it the world's 4th largest mobile phone service provider.

It does get frustrating. I used to work in a call center and they would actualy do that as a joke. I quit and came to a store and now i am on the recieving end.
