The problem I have heard is that the internal screen is terrible. They went with STN insted of TFT which will save battery life but be a downgrade from the 6100. The Moto V265 is an example of horrible STN screen...I got rid of it after a few days. Other than that this phone looks pretty good for a mid range...I am happy with my 6100...a little bulky but no other problems.
never mind I got a LG vx6100
I took the V265 back with the thought of getting the V276, but the screen didn't look that much better and the LG vx6100 got good reviews. The screen on the 6100 literally blows away the V265 in size and color and is every crisp. I liked the the V265 call quality and hope I will get a comparable experience with the 6100.
I called Moto and Verizon and nobody seemed to have any idea about an update. Verizon said ...
was there ever a software update for the V265 so the date shows on the lcd?
I read some older posts about a Motorola update for this problem, but have not able to find anymore info. Is the update done via dialing in to your provider like roaming updates? I just got the phone a few weeks ago so I am assuming the software is up to date, but sure would like to see the date on both screens. Thanks for any help.
