Are you out of your mind? I pay $7 a month for my insurance plan. When I need to see a doctor, I call and am able to get an appointment that same week, if not the same day. What the hell are you smoking?

As a fellow Canadian, I must say I am disappointed in this post. If you want to sound credible, please learn how to make an argument without stereotyping all Americans into one category. I dealt with a lot of garbage from customers when I worked for Cingular too but you know what? Canadians have their share of ignorance and complaints as well. On a side note, please learn how to spell and use proper punctuation so that your posts ...

I'm sure they are not jealous. They are most likely a rep that was with AT&T prior to the merger that is sick and tired of hearing how the majority of those customers want everything for free. I feel that same pain. Thank God I'm outta there!

I agree with the others that say people should have to work to get what they want. Like Nikoletta stated there are very cheap ways to get some descent clothes to apply for jobs. Everyone has to start somewhere. Why not apply at McDonald's or Burger King? Yes, those jobs suck but at least it's a start and they are gaining experience. People that TRY get my utmost respect. Not true. Telus is a shotty company. Sasktel gives better coverage in the country and small towns but elsewhere Rogers dominates.

Oh please. I take Justice Studies, Socioloy, Psychology, and lots of other things. My opinion on this issue has nothing to do with the "harm" it does to someone's body. I've smoked my share of pot and that's not why I think drugs are retarded.

Hah! Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just think the whole French culture is screwy. Regarding separation, if you ask them if they want to separate from Canada, 60% of them will say no. I was pretty young when then whole separation thing was really big so I didn't get much information at that time. Cool think about Quebec is Montreal I have to admit. Haha I'm not sure. I'm nowhere near Quebec. Maybe they did. I remember seeing something on the news. On a sidenote I don't particularly pay attention to Quebec. Too many wierdos there. Almost everything good that we have like no fee bank accounts and stuff like that are never applicable in Quebec. I just have my issues with that province.

It's too bad there is so much bitterness about Wal-Mart in the States. I've never been to one there but I live in Canada and I LOVE Wal-Mart. Where I live they don't activate phones or anything it's just a store with a photo studio, photo lab, and McDonalds. They have some pretty nice and decent stuff at the stores in my area too. Come visit us you'll love it haha.

I didn't find it too hard to get the fee waived. Basically just follow the "Save Call Process Flow" and then cancell it for phantom churn. I think there is even a reason code that says "Phantom Churn to Cingular".

Your not crazy. I'm from EH country too and I heard the same thing. Apparently one of the major carriers may be charging to call customer care in the new year. I think it was Verizon but don't quote me on that. I know that Sprint got rid of that because they lost a lot of customers because of it.

That's not true at all. There are loopholes around it. I saw at least 3 a week when I was working there. Another one is the customer can phantom churn to Cingular (the bright executives decided to waive the ETFs on accounts that phantom churn) and then port out within the 30 days. You don't get to keep your same number but if you basically port a day after you start the new line of service you will get ...
