they actually gave the sidekick lx a great screen. eric said it was probably the best screen in us cell phones. they just need to up the sidekicks processing power, allow it to run videos, and allow us to make our own ringtones

i know that they added video to that sidekick, so i also liked to have seen a video clip play. i hope sharp upgraded the processor so it can run video smoothly.

tough luck. the t809 bluetooth just sucks. i wouldnt even buy one. i'm using the same bluetooth device that i used with my razr and i have all types of problems with it. static, static, and more static.

sidekick questions
alright, so im thinking about getting the sidekick, but I have a few questions before I make my final decision. I have read and researched plenty but I still have a few unanswered questions, so if you know, help me out. thanks in advanced
1. one of the biggest turn offs so far is the screen resolution and size of the screen.

Im not too impressed with this t629
1.Black t809 > silver t629 (kinda reminds me of my razr been there done that)
2. b809igger screen w/t > smaller screen t629
3. from reading doesnt look like they fixed vibrate and ring. so its only fair for me to assume they havent fixed the ascending ringtone problem
4. so it has bluetooth headphones thats cool BUT it doesnt work (based upon my reading)
5. the t629 does come with a battery that last .7 ...

4. usb settings
5. Change from "modem" (phone memory) to "mass storage" (expansion memory aka sd card)
if those are not exact directions then i am probally in the ball park so just mess with until you see something that runs along the lines of what i said

well in theory it doesnt matter what brand you get because they are suppose to do the same thing. but i have heard that off brands memory chips sometimes corrupt files. for example a song wont play on that card for whatever reason. or maybe you had a pic/vid/song/file saved on the card and then that file got corrupted so you will no longer have that file ever again.

downloading with a different browser is not going to fix the operating compatability. but according to that link samsung only offers software for windows 2000 and windows xp. if you are running either of them and its still not running...i don't know what to tell you

depends on the size of the song/file
the phone comes with 32mb card. so say each song/file is 3mb then you can hold about 10 songs. but it all depends on the song/file

well...this is my theory:
-your phone formats the chip when you put it in
-so when you allowed the person at t mo to test your chip. their phone tried to add other folders/ custumize the chip for that phone. which is why it will not be reconized in your phone.

unlucked = can be used by any carrier. provided that carier uses the same frequence
ex. an unlocked gsm phone can work on all gsm netwoks
on a side not, i dont know why people think its such a big deal to by an "unlocked phone". if you call custumer service they will unlock a phone for you for free. it takes some time, but it is all its unlocked.

yeah its like 10 or 15 secs. something like that. it depends of the quality setting you choice to record. but the quality of the video cam isnt anything good. in fact it sucks. so if good video is what you are battling between the razr and p730....i would look into the p730
note. i have never used that samsung phone, but i can only imagine that the video quality woudld be better then the razr.

not all the razrs are the same. some of cingulars do not offer video. but yes, you can d/l or buy software and install it so your phone can shoot video.

well i never had a v600, but rumor has it that the v3 is just a slimmed down version of the v600. as far as recption goes with the v3 (with t-mobile) is great! except for in my house. just my luck huh. turns out that all my other t-mobile phones (v300 & piece of crap siemons) were able to pick up and register on cingular networks. but for some reason the razr can not register with cingular towers. ...
