Thanks for your reply! I wonder why it's discontunued so soon, and how the replacement going to be improved ? I also see that Verizon is now offering modem hookups on their phones for no additional fees.

I've heard that Sprint is already discontinuing the Sanyo MM 9000. Can Phonescoop or anyone else confirm that?? What will replace it?? This seems like such a great phone and I was goint to purchase one at the end of the month. Why would they do that? This phone just came out and it has almost everything that you would want in a phone and more!!

emef, Thanks for your reply!! Everything that I read and I personall viewed this phone at Radio Shack-says that this is an awesome phone!! I wonder if the speakerphone is full or half duplex such as my present Sanyo SCP 5500. :D

I just looked at the Sanyo Mon Jan 2 "06 at a Radio Shack and they have one on display and the clerk had one of his own! I was very much impressed with the video evdo quality and camera zoom! He never mentioned anything about it being discontinued. I have a Sanyo SCP5500 and I may in the spring replace it with the MM9000.I am happy with my current Sanyo5500 but being somewhat of a "techno-nut " I like the evdo and ...

Thanks for your reply. When an a call can you talk to the other person normally(full duplex ) or can only one person talk at a time.(half duplex)

Full duplex means that both parties can talk at the same time just like a normal phone using the speakerphone.Half means that you have to wait for them to stop talking while using the speakerphone in order for them to hear you talk.

Does either have full duplex on the speakerphone and real looking TV? Which one is the better of the two? Are there any other better ones coming in the near future that are worth waiting for? Thanks for any help/replies in making a decision! I have a Sanyo SCP 5500 now and the half duplex speakerphone is a pain sometimes! Thanks, Sirlawrence

Does anyone know if either or both of these phones are half or full duplex? I ahve a Sanyo scp5500 and it's only half duplex and a pain at times. Also do these phones have "like real TV" Thanks, Sirlawrence

Thanks, I did. I also in the meantime looked online at Best Buy for my area and they don't list either the Lg 8100 on Samsung 970. (east of Pittsburgh, Pa)

Thank You for the reply!! I understand that the Sprint version will have a few less features on it than the Verizon version.. Do you have any info on that,and what the differences will be? I was thinking os switching to Verzion for better prices and signal than Sprint. Also I read in Consumer's Report that Sprint will/does carry Fox News and Verizon doesn't.

I am thinking of switching from Sprint to Verizon for better reception in the PGH/Cleveland Area.Also does Verizon cover Norman, Oklahoma? How is Verizon's Customer Care? I'd like to hear your opinions.Also how can I find out where there cell towers are? Thanks,Guys&Gals!

Myself I have the Sanyo SCP 5500 and I like the size and all of the fearures. I am really excited about the Samsung A970 having more! Is the speakerphone Full duplex or half duplex as is my SCP 5500? It is much better to have Full Duplex. I have read that SPRINT may carry it as the SCH 940. Although I am thinking seriously about switching carriers anyway to Verizon.

I'm new to Phonescoop and I think it's great! How did you know about this phone coming out before them? Is there a sight that i can go to that gives the latest on what is coming out before Phonescoop?

This phone looks great!! This looks like all of the features avail in one phone! I wonder if the speakerphone is full or half duplex?? Does anyone know?? I was loonking at the LG 8100 and the Moto E815 but I thinf I'll wait for this phone! Does anyone know where i can get info on ratings of the different carriers and which one is the best for family phones??
