Re: Currently using both

I can try and add some input. My contract w/ VZW is up in 20 days so I figured to try Cingular and compare the two services using the same phones. So far the in-call volume is louder on the K1m, but I think there is a hack that can turn things up in the K1? On the other end people tell me I sound the same on both phones. A big difference is the battery life- I get ...

No rattling on my V3m, I have the lighter silver version.

Have you tried US Cellular? They are great in the city, but I drive down to Indy often and roamed quite a bit. I've been w/ Verizon for the past 2 years and haven't had a single problem so far. I have the Moto E815. Tried Cingular and had problems. Sprint I had real bad call quality. I am very curious to try T-mobile b/c I want the Razr V3i. I've heard good and bad ...

Re: Unlocked vs. Cingular Phones

I bought a Razr V3i at a local retailer by me that sells them and activated it with Cingular. I didn't have to do a thing to get it to work with Cingular's network. This is my first experience with an "unlocked" phone and it has been positive, no setup required on my part (so far). The only disadvantage is that Cingular won't insure the phone and my warranty is through Motorola directly (not necessarily bad), ...

Maybe I did get lucky who knows. I am interested in this new Samsung A930 though, I called my local VZW store and the sales person never heard of it. Hopefully it will get into stores before my 15 days is up (next Sunday).

The Razr is not a bad phone at all. I have an E815 and just renewed my contract and decided to try out the V3c. I take my E815 with me on the road and in the office to compare signal strength, and they are both very similar. Call clarity is the same as the E815 so far and I've had no problems with the speakerphone, the other end said I sounded fine. My only ...

Thanks for that, that was helpful. I'm on the America's Choice II national $59.99 plan. I was pretty sure this was the case, just wanted to make sure. I finally dug up what I was looking for on VZW's website somewhere too, I'm all good!

Question about "home airtime" usage

Hi guys, long time reader first time posting here. I have a question. I just now noticed something that is not made clear (to me at least) in the VZW contract terms, was hoping for some input. US Cellular, for example, requires that in order to get "free" nights & weekends and incoming calls, you must be in your local calling area, this is expressly laid out in the contract. However when looking at my ...

Buddha I was in the same boat a few weeks ago; had Verizon for the past 2 years and was curious about Cingular so I ported and got the Razr. I was very disappointed with it- 2 of my number keys stopped responding on my 1st one, and I just grew to hate the Razr even when I got the replacement. I exchanged it for the little black Samsung P207, and the voice quality on that phone ...
