To get MP3s as ringers:
Download MiniTones 0.1b from http://mytreo.net/downloads/minitones,1053.ht ml It lets you put MP3s in you ringtone folder the only drawback to this is that it copies the file to main memory and can be a memory hog, it does not convert MP3s to MIDI.

Does anyone know how to make a ringtone for this phone? Is there a way to use a mp3? Or does any one know of a way to convert a mp3 to a mid file for free? I looked on the web and all I can find is free software that will take the first 5 sec. I want 30 sec.

There are 2 ways you can do it.
1. Save them on the card and not your phone then plug in the cable to the computer and open the card on your computer there is a folder on the card called pic.
2. if you have bluetooth on your computer you can send them to your computer though bluetooth one at a time

Thanks for the info all helped I did find it under settings / phone status / software update I just did not know how good that worked, then when it does say there is a update can I just download it or do I have take the phone some where.

I just changed to Cingular from Verizon and I have a few questions.
1. Do I have to update my roming like with Verizon it was *228 or does Cingular just know where there are new towers.
2. How do I know if there are software updates for my phone does the software update link in my phone really tell me that, and do I have to take it in to a store to do the updates or they done over ...
itune deleting songs
Does anyone else have a problem with itunes deleting your songs? When I hock my phone up to my computer sometimes to get access to the card for other then music and we I unplug it I loss all my songs they are delet and I have to hock it back up to itunes and redown load them to my phone

I found some software on the web to be able to read the bible for cell phones and it is a JAVA application. I want to know how I can install it. I have a mini SD card and the data cable. Does anyone know how I can do this?

The same thing happened to me when I called and asked if I could get the update on the phone before I drove there and they told me that it will not let me play MP3s anymore but I told them that is ok and I will do that fix after I get the update tonight. He also told me that they were told they had to tell everyone that wanted the update that this will happen and ...

I have V04 and I use my phone as a modem to dial local internet, I just plugged it in, installed drivers that can with data cable and went to internet setting and told it to dial us my phone as a modem and not the built in modem. One down fall is the conection is slower then a lane line.

I'm having a simaler problem if anyone can help me too. I use a local dial up proviter that I use at home and I thought it would be nice to use with my cell phone. My problem thought when it dails it tell me there is no dial tone so it can not connect. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, how do I get a dial tone on a cell phone.

I wanted to use the spacker phone that the box said it had, so I read the manual and could not find how to turn it on so I called Verizon and asked them and they told me to hold down on the CLR botton for 3 sec.
