Did you take your V710 back when it froze up? I was thinking it was due to my playing around with the Vcast last night & the bluetooth before. I hate to return it (got all my settings & the long customer service lines). If it happens next week, I will take your advice. Thanks.

While I never owned the 710 (didn't like it), I am crazy about the E815. Verizon did forget to turn on my caller ID & I had to get the Vcast software loaded (mine was missing, but Verizon got that fixed). But all in all, very reliable. Incredible clarity & very fast Internet access. Incredible signal strength. I also got the HS850 Bluetooth headset, it works GREAT! Very clear & fairly loud. I say give it the 15 day try! ...

Thank goodness that the E815 doesn't have such 70s lighting! I would be embarrassed to have such a phone. To the writer, it doesn't have your lighting, but it is the best cell phone I ever owed! I highly recommend it & you should give it a try!

E815 Freezing up

I have had my phone since July 9. One time while talking to a friend, I decided to try connecting the blue tooth headset in the middle of the call. Well, my phone froze. Basically, no keys work including trying to shut the phone down (nor were any calls able to come in). The only way I was able to fix it was to pull the battery out. I didn't think much of it & blamed myself for trying ...

It was missing the software! They just took for phone back & will download it. I was amazed though how fast the internet access is on the phone. I will give the Vcast a try over the next few weeks (for free) & then decide.

Vcast, noy sure if mine is working. HELP

OKay, I got my phone last week & it is the BEST phone ever!! I love it. I didn't really buy it to surf the net or to use the new Vcast features. But now I'm enjoying the speed to access the INTERNET & may want to keep the features. My question is that I am not sure if my Vcast is working or enabled. I know that I have it (live in NYC) & the "EV" show up ...

I echo the two comments. I have had my phone since Saturday & it is working great. By far the best cell phone I have ever owned. I too didn't buy it for the V cast or camera. I bought it for the look & feel & other features. But I must say, the V cast & access to the web is super fast & really good. I may be using those options too!

Okay, I want the data cable, stand up charger, & a belt clip. NO Verizon stores have them yet. I know there are alot of phone experts monitoring these forums, please recommend a reliable online site. Should I use the Shop in this forum? I'm a newbie that want authentic Motorola items!

Weak Vibrate mode

Okay, I have the phone & LOVE IT!! However, one pet peve is the vibrate mode is too weak!! The only way you can feel it, if you are holding it! I keep my phone in my back pocket & can't feel a thing!

The tech support person went in the back & came back & told me (what you had told me last night) to get a new phone because she couldn't fix it. I went to ANOTHER line & waited for a new phone rep. PROBLEM SOLVED!! Verizon shut off the caller ID feature on my account!!!! Can you believe that?

I got mine on Saturday & the quality of the audio is AWESOME! I hate to say it, but you need to try phone number 4. Try a different Verizon store. Maybe a bad batch was sent to the one you are using.

First, Verizon service is way better than Cingular almost everywhere! I do agree that Verizon's phone selection sucks! I have been a customer with Verizon over 7 years & have always complain to them about their phone selection. However, I just got the new Motorola E815. My recent call list all display "Unknown". I have gotten 19 calls yesterday & today & only one came up with a name. All the rest were unknown. :x Very frustrating.

I hope you are right. I really like this phone. Maybe I screwed it up by updating (*228) the phone yesterday shortly after I got it. Since I bought it over the weekend, maybe my profile or something isn't right yet.

Is anyone having a problem with Verizon \ Motorola E815 phone. 99% of my calls come in as "Unknown"!! Friends are calling me & thier numbers are programed (even if they weren't, it should show a number!) & the caller ID says "Unknown caller"!! I just called my cell phone with the same message (over & over again)!! Must be a phone software issue. Anyone else having this proplem? I also read that some Verizon stores pulled this phone ...

Dumb Question; Removing the battery

Okay, don't laugh at me too much. I got my new E815 yesterady & LOVE IT!! One small question, what is the trick to remove the battery? I have been pushing down on the battery door & pushing to the left & the sucker won't open :( ! Is there a trick? I don't want to be too forceful with it.
