You can lock the web so you have to enter a four digit unlock code to access it. Then you will not accidently connect. Thats what I did. Menu settings security lock application the preset code is 1234 go down to web access and lock it. Next time you try to access the web you will have to type in the 1234 code to access. No more accidental web connections!

Thanks for the tip, but I dropped Verizon today for Cingular. I'll post my reviews after I try it for a couple of days.

I have the lg vx-8000. It is a great phone but if I had the choice to do it over I would get the black Razr without a doubt. I may switch to it.

Well, I don't know to much about it but I know it's different. When you go to the get it now menu and hit info then memory info it says 1.04mb/ 55.04mb then ram 5.09mb This is different than before. I read somewhere that it divides it up between pictures, videos, get it now apps and such. I don't know exactly. It did fix the save picture problem though, that was my main reason along with a rumored sigal ...

Try the LG vx-8000. Sound quality is great. Reception in low signal strength areas is it's weak point.

Ok. I went and had version 5 of the software installed yesterday. I had to leave it for an hour and it was ready when I went back to get 50 minutes later, so not to bad. It did fix the problem with saving a high resolution picture after watching a Vcast video. Recorded ringtones may seem a bit lower in volume, preset ones are the same. Reception is the same, I was hoping it would improve. It is ...

I am at like 30 some days. I called Verizon and they told me I'd have to buy the Moto and that all phones they sell have the same signal strength and reception. They said they checked my area and agreed that it is a low service area, a mile away and it works fine. They won't let me switch to a e815 but they offered to waive my early termination fee for all 4 lines I have $175 ...

How were you able to change to the Moto? Were you still in your 15 days? I would consider changing too but I'm at 30 days. I have never had the phone shut off but I get bad signal strength from my house and I heard the Moto has better reception.

Yes, From what I hear... I know with my version if you play a Vcast video and then later try to save a picture you take with the highest setting it won't save. The phone has to be turned off and then back on for it to save a high res pic. I heard the new firmware fixes this. I also heard that the volume for added ringtones is lower with the new firmware. I don't know though. Let ...

Chances are they will quit selling it. The 8000 doesn't even show up on the Verizon site in my area. If you want one you would probably have to see if a local Verizon dealer has any in stock. It is a great phone. I have had it for about a month.

Maybe you don't have the Vcast package that costs $15.00 dollars. If you do then your rep is wrong. I would call Verizon and ask them, or check the website you will find this. V CAST VPak - FREE FOR 1 MONTH, $15 MONTHLY ACCESS AFTER PROMOTION^ The hottest content- right on your phone. V CAST Coverage Area Required. Not available everywhere. The VX-8000 is an AWESOME phone. The reception is a bit weak in certain areas though. You may want to give it a try if you don't need bluetooth.

I don't know about the 8100, I have never used it. I have the 8000 and I can tell you that it is loud. I have to turn the volume down sometimes because it is very loud. I am happy with the 8000.
