What I don't understand is what their closing of your threads has to do with a socio-econmic ideology where all property and industry are owned and operated by the state. Also, it might be easier if you just left if you're going to insist on being banned.

How do you feel about buttons to add the code when required? Not that typing out is a massive deal or anything... just curious.

Do you only sell one carriers phones in that store?... If so I can't imagine how a customer could possibly get the idea that you're there to assist them in their dealings with the company you represent.

Addiction is not going to play a role? If you tell someone; "Marijuana can be addictive, you can become addicted to it!" that isn't going to change anything? O'rly? Yes really. But only because you're completely misunderstanding the argument. We're talking about increased usage if it were legal vs. illegal. That's why I made the claim that it was of no consequence - You're talking about something completely different. I said that you point would be relevant ...

The idea of something being addictive is not going to play a role assuming were talking about the same thing. Addiction can play a role in if someone continues to take a substance but it's it not a determining factor in someone trying it when we're talking about the legality of something. It's pretty silly that you would even suggest that actually. You wanted to see a study that showed addictive substances become less desirable if they become ...

There are some studies, particularly in child psychology, that show denying something makes it more enticing. The argument is moot anyway since he said "teens" and for the most part alcohol and tobacco are illegal for teens as well so in that sense they are on an equal playing field. It's worth noting that these studies don't tend to focus on whether something is addictive or not. I'm not even sure who that has anything to do with ...

If you were forced to use a hosting site like imageshack or something it would be fine. The potential for abuse is entirely too great though - this place would require constant moderation.

I've never paid an activation fee in my life: - "Alright Mr. Burke that'll be x$ for activation..." - "I'm not paying a fee to activate my phones" - "Sir this fee is required..." - "I won't be purchasing these phones, or signing to a contract with this provider if you insist on charging me an activation fee" - "Well let me see what I can do for you here, we'd hate to lose a valued customer over something as silly as ...

I don't know if I was ignorant of them to date but those adds that now drop down when you hover your mouse over them are pure fail. Firefox on both my laptop and desktop just collapses whenever I try to view this site. As of now I have to use IE 7, though I considered using IE 6 just to piss people off... you know who you are. Well with any edit feature I've seen there is an indication of if and when the message was edited and by whom (mod or user). message was edited a total of 1 time(s) by Zombiej or something similar. You don't stop people from editing their posts but if they want to claim they said something or didn't say something it would be pretty obvious when you look at if it was edited or not. Re: IC902 Wont work in Canada
May 9, 2008, 8:08 PM

Sounds weird. When I worked for Cingular we had ways around things like that. Usually depending on who was logged into to system you would have different privileges. I am a pretty big advocate of kicking up a stink because for the most part you either get what you want or eventually you get reason as to why it can't be done beyond the normal scripted nonsense you get from the average phone jockey. It wouldn't be shocking if ...

They can likely activate it. Kick up a massive stink, there is someone somewhere along the line that can get that phone working for you. I don't work for Telus or know for certain how their system works but kicking up a stink with these call center types is usually the best way to get something done.

Re: Primus Canada resorts to unscrupulous bill collecting causing disruption of service.
Nov 27, 2007, 11:42 PM

If you have sh*t credit some cell providers will sometimes cut your service in the middle of a billing cycle. For instance if my bill gets over 300 dollars my service gets cut until I pay. I'm not saying that this was a similar situation, and regardless of the circumstances it was a dirty thing for Primus to do. They are notorious for this type of thing though and it would serve a lot of people good if ...

We don't have 2 years of campaigning though, it's a lot easier for everyone to keep interest when the election is announced and then no more than 2 months later we are at the ballot boxes.
