VZW will offer this plan, but the web will probably be offered on Basic WAP 2.0 enabled devices. Smartphones will still need to get a separate data package....

Yes indeedy. The big brother of the 8600 will be out in the very near future. Only highlights on the 8700 is she will have a 2MP Camera. Pretty much everything will be the same as far as features on the 8600.(Except cosmetically of coarse) LOL!

the other reason the Q has not been distributed yet is VZW(mainly) and Moto are finalizing POP kits and other advertizing materal. We got training materal for setting up the Q for e-mail accounts and the exchange server. Also, pairing BT products. When surfing the web, say for example, you see a picture you want on the internet(on the q), you can use to q to copy and save the image, right to the phone. :)

I'll tell you this, you can download objects, directly from the web on the phone while using the internet explorer, just like a computer, in the box comes battery, usb cable, holster, charger, ActiveSync cd.

Just so you know, VZW CS reps cannot be discussing anything to you about the settlement. So honestly, I wouldn't even use their advice about anything on the settlement. I think VZW might be asking their CS reps to con people who are able to do upgrades, so they can't use their settlement. But let me know if you can still use your settlement if you do the upgrade. Sorry to say, the 5,10,and 15$ unlimited "In" data is only for text, pix, and flix only. I pretty sure only mobile web 2.0 supports gmail. Mobile web is 5 bucks a month and uses your airtime(Which Sucks! :cry: ), unless... you use the internet on your phone when your unlimited nights begins. :D

v710 Volume Hack
This reportedly works on most v710 handsets, but some are already at max. It worked greaet on my personal handset:
1 Enter the "Opcode Menu" by pressing: MENU 048263 * (you'll have to enter it rather quickly).
2 Enter 54* and press OK. This will suspend the phone and dim the backlight.

Auctually If i remember right, VZW is being sued bacuse they showed on their commercials that the v710 had bluetooth in it and did not say any thing about it being only headset enabled. When people hear bluetooth in a phone they usually thing that it has obex, DUN etc... but the v710 only offered bluetooth to be used with the bluetooth headsets ONLY. making customers use Greedy VZW's "Services" (VZpix) so if this phone had the uncrippled bluetooth ...

So i'm Guessing they are going to relase the phone in the Vcast Markets(on the 5th) only. Unless they get enough supply then they will probably distribute to all VZW stores. that's usually how it goes most of the time.
