I ordered mine through best buy, t-mob is offering a year of netflix and att is offering 50 dollars off a wireless headset. I am on att so tmob deal didn't help me and i have no use for another headset. the wireless charger interested me the most. Those are all the deals i've seen so far.

Verizon blocks it so you have to pay for veriz navi one of the main reason i don't go with veriz is that they nickel and dime you on these simple and free applications. I have sprint and they get phones last for the most part or phones people just don't want but the pricing structure i feel is much better. You are correct though it is triangulating and unlike the movies is usually way off.

Sprint and verizon both have GPS on the 8830 however on Verizon it is turned off until they get whatever proprietary software verizon uses to make another buck. Sprint has it enabled i use it all the time with google maps and BB maps. Hope this helps.

Got mine from samsung themselves. Just go online and to samsung.com and look under accessories. They have stereo ones for 25 bucks but if register your phone you get 20% off. It comes with a mic i have used it for both music and talking and it works fine.

The phone is setup only to read ringtones from downloads not the card. I have never seen a way for it to even look in the transflash card it must be downloaded.
Re: Battery life
I also notice the short life. Through light use my phone doesn't seem to last more than 2 days before being completely dead. I have to charge mine every night or it won't make it the second day can't figure out why.

Video size stays the same (little) its not too bad though but its not adjustable and even if you get it on a pc and expand it its kinda grainy. Takes awesome pics though. And no head phones. Love the phone though.
Re: mp3 ringtones?
You have to download a song in order for it to be a ringtone. You cannot use your transflash card for ringtones. If you decide to upload your own there are lots of free sites to do so like the sprintusers forum. Also i suggest chaning the ringer to an aac file its a little smaller and sounds just as good.
