Voice recognition

No matter how many times I've calibrated my voice into the phone it only connects me to the right person maybe 2 times out of 5. I say Cathy and it wants to connect me to Mom. I say NO... repeating the name doesn't help and I give up. Any ideas??

Mobile email and AOL

Just got the EnV and it's so far a nice phone. Unfortunately I can't get on AOL for the email - it keeps timing out. I can get into MSN/Hotmail - but can't get to the sign in screen for AOL. This is a biggie with the husband (this is his phone) and he's not a happy camper. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

Oh, he liked the Blackberry - I just didn't know of anything out there that might be better, or less expensive, or whatever. Always good to compare and this was out of my league. I'll look into the Palm. Thanks!!

emails on the run

Husband is not that savvy with many buttons, I am not up to date on new trends. Problem is that he needs to read emails while traveling - we are have Verizon. He has an E815 Motorola. He's used a Blackberry (borrowed from his ex-secretary and that worked okay for him). I was wondering what else is out there that would be beneficial to him, that I don't know about. He's horrible at learning the computer - I overtook his laptop. But just emails might be okay. Any ideas?

Hmmm - you give me pause to think this one out. So, if Verizon - which has the best reception? I hear Nokia's are great for reception, but Verizon in NC doesn't have a decent Nokia.

Coverage and service is more important than the downloads - wouldn't use that much anyway. Thanks again.....

That's just the kind of explanation I could understand!! Thank you for the enlightenment. What does CDMA stand for? And what's this GSM, digital, CDMA coverage - are these all different? I'm still trying to figure out if I should go to Cingluar or Verizon for getting phone service. I've got Cingular now, but at place we go to by the beach can't use my phone - yet I go 2 blocks and can use it just fine.

Am I to understand that with all the phones out there I'm only able to use a phone that is listed under a particular servers name? Like with Verizon - I can only use the phones that they list on their web site? What's with all this talk of trading a sim card from one phone to another? If you like a particular phone, but it's on another network, then you have to change your provider?? Very odd. I don't get ...

Husband has been with AT&T for a long time and then got switched over (in NC) to SunCom. Have Cingular with my phone. Now I have to decide on Cingular and ditch SunCom, or go Verizon, or something else. Basically he travels all over the US and has some "boonie" places in SC that he needs to have service. AT&T couldn't reach those places. He's got a Siemens S46 right now which he likes a lot, but it doesn't work (or won't work) with Verizon ...
