I have mixed opinions of this announcement. Not until Cingular took over AT&T, did I ever hear a customer say one thing GOOD about AT&T but we all know how that goes. :roll: I think SBC realizes that Verizon has made some smart decisions within the past month or so, therefore they feel as if they need to go back to the proverbial drawing board before Verizon oversteps. Dontcha just love those customers! I had a lady come in today and ask "Where's the Nokia store?" I was like WTF? She said she had a nokia phone and needed Nokia service. :lol:

Is this even possible? I have a customer who is getting harassing phone calls and he called his carrier but they informed him it was impossible to block numbers from calling in. Is this true??????

It's called utilizing all the available resources. Identifing the customer's needs. I've been in the wireless industry for 3 years now and I've always work for an agent who carried 3-6 carriers. Just recently did I switch to managing a Cingular store. It's a big change. Memorizing everything about each carrier comes with time. But, at a multi carrier store, you have something for everyone. I think it's good. I remember when Radioshack bought Wireless Retail(outfit out of Sams club) and now we're SC Kiosks. Ever since last October, it's been nothing but a positive impact. Now, Radioshack is branching out like Sam's Club, Sprint Kiosks in the malls, branded stores, etc.

VERY true. That's why i called and first asked how the service was at a address. They told me no service available and more than likely, wouldn't have any for quite some time. I said ok.. I want to cancel. :D

I also reside in Eastern NC where when I moved I had zero coverage with nextel. I was 6 months into the contract and called customer service and they let me out of it without the ETF. I dont think you'll have a problem

they will be gone on July 7th. They will only be available for exsisting customers, of course. I think it will be for all markets. I know a lot of stores in the Alamosa market and they havent heard anything yet. But, they got the 5pm nights and weekends like 6 months ago, although it's only for the area wide plans.

Well, I heard through the grapevine that Suncom will unlock any gsm device.... not sure if they would since it was cingular branded. I took it back to the cingular store and they said no, because I am not a customer. I fought but nothing. Im cheap so I wanna do but I'm not willing to pay 50-100 bucks for the code. Thanks

I'm in the Carolinas, where Suncom took over AT&T customers. I'm have a line with Suncom but I hate their phones. So, I bought a Cingular Black Razr and was wondering what the best way to unlock it would be. Thanks

Rumor is true... nights and weekends start at 6.. for an extra 10 dollars. And the free and clear plans are GONE. But.. thats all that chnaged. I have the new rate plan brochures.

Im a GSM chic myself but my friend has nextel and he bought a boost phone and his Nextel SIM card won't work in the boost phone. So, we're thinking about switching out the boards on the phone. Will it work??????????????

3gforfree is what I give my customers.. it's pretty good. Its free from the phone AND leaves no burning sensation when I pee :D

Im in North Carolina.. SunCom took over the ATTWS customers in my market. Thank god you don't have them near you. harry connick Jr used to be cute to me until he started doing commercials for SunCom.. now hes just annoying!! It's a regional carrier with crappy service and horrible phones along with poor customer service. :roll:
