Replacement for the c905a?
So, I was holding out for SE to release the c905a, but I'm wondering if they'll scrap it (too) now that the w995a is gonna be released.
The features I wanted in a phone are basically the same: 8mp, WiFi, aGPS, 3G, et al
But unfortunately, the price tag is also similar.
I've emailed SE NUMEROUS times to see when (if??) the c905a will become available in the US on a North America 3g band, but getting a response from them is ...
so...
Now that this phone has been out for a while, what are some people's opinions.
I've been holding out for a while and the price has finally come down to where I'm ready to get it. However, I have a few concerns...
I am a HUGE texter and I'm wondering if this phone is really "text friendly". I'm kinda iffy on the whole touch screen "select" button AND the "you don't press the D-pad, you simply glide your finger across it" ...
Re: picture file
Everyone else at work has Verizon and when they send me a pic message, it shows the JPEG as having a .jpgg extension and shows it as "an invalid file type" and therefore, can't save or view the picture. I can receive and view GIFS that I get in a MMS and I can view JPEGS I create with the camera without difficulty.
The phone is also about 50/50 on being able to view short movie clips sent from ANYONE. ...
