They do pay well and i wasnt complaining, just comparing. Western was low on the salary side but if you worked hard you easily made up for it and then some in commission. I know of a few sales reps that were making over 100k a year.

Union Wireless is operating tdma/analog on its Cellular B license and GSM on its PCS license. The Cellular B license would be a perfect fit to Alltels existing coverage because it would fill in the rest of Wyoming, the northwest portion of Colorado and a little tiny spot on the extreme northeast corner of utah. Union's PCS license covers the whole state of wyoming, northwest colorado and north eastern utah. They might run into a little fcc/doj trouble in ...

Alltel doesnt have service in Colorado Springs nor is it even close to Grand Junction. The closest Alltel stores would be Price Utah, Vernal Utah or Durango CO. You would either have to get a Utah or Durango number which would probably be long distance for Grand Junction landlines but that just keeps people that you dont want to talk to from calling you....

Dont get me wrong. I like working for Alltel, but Western Wireless paid much better on the commission side. New reps make more base pay with alltel than they did with western but the commission isnt even close.

This phone is not 3 watt unless you add a 3 watt booster. It is also not new. The Cellular One (WWC) stores were carrying this phone before the alltel aquisition. When the stores rebranded to alltel the phones were pulled. They have now been loaded with alltel software and include all of the extras (battery, dc/ac adapter, privacy handset, usb data connection and external microphone). Every alltel store that wanted them now has them in stock.

Wait until you get this phone before you call eric's review bad. I actually used this phone for three weeks and was able to text at a decent speed using the fastap keypad but i can type at least twice as fast using t9. I never seemed to be able to memorize all of the key locations and found myself looking at the phone while i was typing. It is harder than it looks. If/when you do get it ...

I totally agree! Any rep that shows up for work awake should be making 35k at a minimum. All of my reps are making over 40k and my top 2 are making over 60k

on alltel freedom plans you get your n/w and m2m minutes everywhere you get your anytime minutes. if you are in a roaming area (solid roaming indicator on national freedom or outside of greater freedom coverage area) then none of your free minutes apply and you are charged roaming

Total Freedom plans are limited to 1000 n/w and 1000 M2M minutes that can be used basically anywhere in the US

until alltel and verizon sign an agreement for evdo roaming you will be stuck with 1x. alltel and sprint recently signed an evdo roaming agreement. evdo roaming on sprint is in the testing phase could launch by the end of 3rd quarter if all goes well

wrong! they simply added the programming and user instructions to their website because many of the customers they acquired from western wireless have these models. Alltel will not be selling any of the models listed in the original post.

The ota update system will recognize the phone model and update the phone with the right prl. It will even update a market specific prl if the number is from a specific line range. I have done this hundreds of times in multiple markets. I did it yesterday with a verizon LG VX8100, blackberry 7130e and a PPC6700. The PPC6700 was programmed with a former us cellular idaho number (im not in idaho) and it received the idaho evdo ...

the E815 is in fact a digital only handset. *228 will update the phone with the evdo prl because the 815 is evdo capable.

Those are all discontinued models that used to be carried by Cellular One/Western Wireless. They were added to sbs.alltel.com because many customers still have them. I am still laughing that you actually thought they were new models!!! My reps are going to get a good laugh at this!

I have a 1gb mmc card in my nokia 6255 that works fine. SD cards will NOT work!!! MMC cards are thinner than SD cards and to put an sd card in this phone requires smashing it in there and even then it doesnt work.

I am 100% sure that you would be pissed if you drove to the store, waited in line and then when you finally made it to a rep they asked you to hold on while they answered the phone. A call center rep is much more suited to help you with a question on the phone than a retail store rep. Retail is equipped to help you IN PERSON. If you just need your voicemail passcode reset dial 611. ...

Walk you thru manual programming.
Dial*22800 to update the prl.
If you want to use hello2web or hello2fun then it will require flashing at the store.
