Hmmm. It sounds like you are not the only one experiencing this. Both I and my spouse ran in to the same situation. As it turns out, Cingular has made some modifications to the home page that prompts you to contact customer service to verify your media package. The end result is that there may be an additional feature required in order to access Cingular Video now.

You can...if you have the correct media package from your service provider. I have an ulimited package from Cingular, however, there is an additional feature that had to be added to allow for "phone as moden" service. It wasn't always this way, but is now appearantly.

Re: 6682 vs 5600 (current SideKick owner)

One of the specific features of the 6682 is the ability to toggle between apps. I use the email client, yahoo IM, and the radio pratically all day at work and never really have to shut down anything. So your memory concerns are null. I would recommend though using the memory card as much as possible to allow for greater experience in moving from app to app.

I'm glad you got the chance to try out both phones. For what it sounds like you will be using the phone for, I'd have to say go for the 6682. My wife uses the 5600 and loves it. The smaller key pad fits her hands better, so it is easier for her to navigate. At the same time, she has difficulties loading web pages or links that require a VPN client, or secure web ...

Re: 6682 (cingular) vs 6682 (nokia)

I've had the opportunity to try many Nokia phones not picked up by any carrier, such as the 6260 and 6630. In the case of the 6682, I have been using it for two months, and have not had one single issue (even dropped it getting out of the car) and I got it through Cingular. No software glitches like the 6630, and music quality for ringtones and mp3's on this phone are excellent. I hope ...

Real One player is standard on this phone. However, you can download a variety of different players free at such sites as mobango.com.

It appears Cingular hasn't given up on this model yet. Besides, the company is taking a strong interest in the possibilities of Symbian software and the 6682 was suppose to be its flagship. With the advanced media services Cingular has on the horizon, it stand to reason the company will rely on handset to support future offerings.

I own the phone also through Cingular for a couple of months now and have not had a "Cingular" or single problem with it. I would suggest removing the memory card, and then restoring the factory settings. Just make sure you have copied all of your contacts to your SIM or back up in PC Suite.
