Here's my beef with you. You come on this site with a simple question, "where can I find documented information on security deposits?" but rather than make it a simple post, you post over and over and over (and over and over and over) about how VZW is wrong and basically bashing them. You post your phone number which I look up and find out you had a declined payment in November which you never stated (now I understand ...

We've already gone over your little "problem" with honesty. Those 89% of customers should read their bills since it's printed on all of them. If you're going to bash a company (which is fine) at least get your facts right. I will now be going to spend some time outside. What? You've never heard of "outside?" It's all that stuff outside of your front door. I suggest you explore.

Wrong again. Tolls, taxes and surcharges and other monthly fees vary by market and will add between 6% and 34% to the monthly bill. In other words, nowhere in the USA would a $9.99 line reach $14-15. At the very most $13.39. At the least $10.59. The bulk of this is taxes. Problem with it? See your department of revenue. The rest are the surcharges, and they're less than any other national carrier.

From what I've been trained (but not able to test) is that Windows Media Player will allow you to transfer any MP3 on your computer onto your VCast Music phone. During the transfer the files will be transfered to whatever the correct file format is. The files on your computer remain as is. Therefore if you have a thousand MP3s on your computer you can transfer any of them to the phone without having to recode ...

Only the global phones, which probably isn't what you're looking for. The Verizon Wireless stores have a device that will transfer your phone book from one phone to another regardless of the service provider as long as both phones can power on. There is normally a $10 charge for the transfer.

I'm just glad this means less calls from customers who activated in Radioshack, get their first bills and don't have their nights and weekends and in-network calling promotions because of everything being set up incorrectly. I'm not sure what the VZW bigwigs are thinking about this change but I can tell you the customer service reps are thrilled.

Are you sure your contract expires Jan 26th? If that's on a 2 year contract that would make your NE2 date 2 months before that, or November 26th of this year. You'd already be eligible. If your NE2 date is Jan 26th that would make your contract date March 26th and there's no way to move that up another month plus.

I'm guessing you've never signed a contract fully explaining quantum physics. Just a guess. In order to start service you sign a contract with 3 full pages of verbiage fully explaining the terms of your service. Whether or not you read it is one thing, but you can't plead ignorance when something comes up that you didn't know about.

A few points that I see: 1.) Yes the termination fee shows up. You've terminated your service before your contract expires. It is then credited when the phone is returned. It's computer generated so it sometimes shows up. It's been credited for you, so it's a non-issue. 2.) "Clearly, verizon is just hoping you will pay." This is just stupid. Please. 3.) You do have the full allotment of minutes during your first month. You ...

From past experience, Radioshack may deduct $100 from the FULL RETAIL price and call it the New Every Two. I've heard of this happening to customers on more than one occasion. They're never very happy when I tell them they have to work with Radioshack's return policy in order to get the actual discounted price in a corporate owned store. Now keep in mind that Radioshack owns their own inventory. We have no bearing on ...

This is so untrue. The whole point of coming back within 90 days to have your ETF waived is that you reactivate the same account. If you weren't eligible to upgrade your phone before, you won't be eligible now. Your account specifics haven't changed.

Sprints adds went from 1.3 million in first quarter to 0.588 million in the second quarter. That's a drop of MORE THAN 50%. Nextel dropped by a little less than 50,000 in the second quarter. So with these seasonality pressures, which go along in every business, VZW somehow ended up INCREASING their second quarter adds by a ...

The only differences between a 1 year and 2 year contract is the date your contract ends (obviously), the activation fee ($35/$20) and the terms and prices of your upgrades. On a 1 year contract, the phones are prices $50 more than on a 2 year contract. You can upgrade your phone in your 10th montht of contract with the acceptance of a new 1 year contract. The phone would again be priced $50 more than ...

Part of the $15 charge for VCast is to cover airtime for VCast downloads, mobile web access and Get It Now. The $5 mobile web package does not. You will still be billed airtime for GIN and Mobile Web Access.

I'm personally not aware of this issue. A few policies are in place for issues like these, most of which people don't like. First, keep in mind you have the 15 day return policy in case there are problems with the phone in the first two weeks that you have it. Secondly, we have a replacement policy in the stores that cover any type of software issues/manufacturer's defects during the one-year warranty. Normally you'll need ...

Keep in mind that you have 30 days to go back to your old price plan, but this means we work the bills as if the change has never taken place. So if you have some 60 minute digital choice plan and you change it to the 900 minute price plan to cover your usage for 29 days and then ask to go back to your original plan/contract, the bill will be rerated as if you were on ...

In-Network in Extended Network areas

I'm afraid you're incorrect. If you move within the same promotion no change is needed to your contract. If you move to a new promotion a new contract is needed. If you have less than a year left you can choose a one or two year contract. If you have more than a year left, a two year contract is required.

I don't have the price list with me, but most of the rates will go down from what customer's are used to paying with the plan on their account. Again I'm not positive but I think Canada and Mexico drop down to 9 or 10 cents a minute and almost every other country is cheaper with the International Long Distance Plan then they were before.

Re: No more free holidays!

I disagree. I've now worked with VZW long enough to go through all the holidays at least once, and the amount of customers that know about the free holidays was suprisingly few. I really don't feel it's that big a deal. Unless you're within 15 minutes of your price plan every single month, I can't see an extra couple of calls putting you over on labor day. How many people make extra calls on labor ...

But it's not that easy. These charges are percentage based (except the regulatory charge). They change if you go over your minutes. Or use 411 Connect. Or send text messages. Or download applications. Or roam, or make international long distance calls. They also go against text and picture packages, and insurance, and all those other charges. They are also subject to change should the government start charging more (which they seem ...

First of all. On the very first page of my bill it shows "Verizon Wireless surcharges and other charges and credits." Not exactly hidden.
