Will NOT support BT DUN on the 7130e, they say it is too slow compared to EVDO to be worth supporting.

Did anyone notice on the flash presentation when you click the bluetooth link, somebody mis-spelled 'RECEIVE'? They spelled it recieve, too bad it isn't like the Apprentice where someone could be fired for something so dumb. Remember, 'I' before 'E', except after 'C', "except when said 'ay' as in 'neighbor' and 'weigh'" Also, they have said in the past that they do not like supporting Bluetooth DUN, even if you pay for it because the Bluetooth bottlenecks EVDO, so my ...

" The Verizon UI, love or hate it, is consistent. The main menu features six different tabs, each with no more than 10 elements per tab." Are you positive there are 6 tabs? I count five, but hey, math was never my strong subject. Anyway, nice review. Thanks for taking the time to get all of the information right... 8O

i think you should 'bye' it, because i am sure that you won't 'buy' it. anyway, if you are trying to be trendy and still have a great network, then you will 'buy' the razr v3c with vzw. everybody expects to see this thing at $499.99 with a 2 year, i really don't think that vzw is THAT crazy...

in the Article: Verizon Considering DVB-H for Live TV forum

I would hope S. Korea would have GREAT coverage... considering that their land mass is 98,480 sq km versus the US at 9,629,091... so that makes it .01% of our area? I would seriously hope that you could use a cell phone in a basement over there. Point aside. LIVE streaming video will be awesome, what sucks is that I live in a non-VCAST area as it stands now, so I can only dream of the day I will ...

in the LG V VX-9800 forum

On the Approved Device list that is internal to VZW, the LG-vx9800 is under the PDA column. The original date was Sep 26th, this was almost a month ago. It was correct, and just like everything else VZW releases, it got pushed back. Oh and by the way, coming, has ONE 'M'.

Re: Price???
Sep 18, 2005, 10:47 PM
in the LG V VX-9800 forum

it is just that people think they know, when they do not... equipment quide has never been wrong about a price, especially two weeks before launch. vzw is classifying this as a pda, that is why you see the $349.99 tag with 2 year.

NO REAL OS... :(
Sep 18, 2005, 8:02 PM
in the LG V VX-9800 forum

no real OS, that is my only drawback, it is going to be in the price range of a treo 650 or xv6600 (the 9800 is $50 more expensive if we count the $100 instant rebate) and in my opinion, nowhere near as functional. anyway, no REAL OS. Just one seemingly pathetic attempt at one.

seriously, did you even look through the forums before you started a completely new post? search before you start new threads that just waste space. A business card scanner uses the camera to take a picture of a business card. The user can then assign pieces of the info from the card to contact information in the phone.

It is NOT $20 a month for Wireless Sync. There are some misinformed people on this board. It is ONLY $10 a month, and $15 for VCAST which will give you unlimited time for push e-mail, w/out VCAST, it will be MOU for push, that is why it isn't true push meaning as soon as you get a message it puches immediately, it is set up for timed intervals or manual pull.

Re: On Approved Device List!! Question
Sep 17, 2005, 10:02 AM
in the LG V VX-9800 forum

actually, it will be a time sync, like every hour on the hour and it will have the option to pull. Please, seriously shut up before you confuse everyone.

Re: On Approved Device List!! Question
Sep 17, 2005, 10:00 AM
in the LG V VX-9800 forum

actually it DOES have wireless synce access for $10 a month which is MOU unless you have VCAST for $15 which will give you unlimited push airtime for e-mail and browsing the web. I wish some of you knew what the hell you guys were talking about before you open it and unleash all hell!!! Seriously, think before you speak. And if you don't know, don't talk...

thanks for correcting his mistake, if you didn't, i would have, Wireless Sync is $10 per month (used to be a $5 feature)

Actually you are wrong. VZW created the UI, the LG 7000 was the first phone to adopt it. (the first to break down and take it up the charging port if you know what i mean) Do you know how many issues it would cause if one manufacturer's UI was used in competitors phones? Do you even know what the hell you are talking about?

'spensive... but not as 'spensive as 500... and I don't know where you got your info that the 970 is going to be 500, full retail yes, 2 yr contract will be 299 after 50 MIR. I think you will see this bad boy in that same range... 250-299 after 50 MIR w/ 2 year...

Re: Dual Mode or Tri Band?
Sep 11, 2005, 10:34 PM
in the Samsung SCH-A970 forum

actually, mbcab08 IS correct. If you look up the past 10 years of CDMA technology: Dual Mode means ONE Digital and ONE Analog. All Digital means TWO digital signals! Tri-Mode (not Tri-BAND)means 2 DIGITAL and 1 ANALOG. BAND means of the same signal type like: CDMA 900/1800 ---or--- GSM 850/900/1800 (making up numbers here, bear with me...) Plus, Qualcomm will NOT release an EVDO chip with AMPS... are you kidding me? Grow up and figure out what the hell you people are trying to say.

They put the camera there because it has a TWO time optical zoom... which means there needs to be room for the lens to move back and forth inside the housing. And don't forget room for the motor(s) as well.

Amen brother, Amen. I have been patiently awaiting for this phone's arrival since I first caught sight of it in phonescoop's articles about CES (seems like last year almost...) It just seems clunky. But for what it has, I think clunky is a good thing.

Actually if you are a big dork like me or anybody else on this forum you might have noticed it at CES or at least maybe read about it in a synopsis about the show itself.
