32 MB card?
May 12, 2009, 1:56 PM

Has anyone tried a 32 MB card in the G1? Wondering if it would work. Having to wait until end of my current contract to get a G1 of my own.

How much memory is on the G1 itself? How many apps (approximately) can it hold?

Probably best to wait

I am a long-time mac fan and user. I am totally excited about the iPhone (or whatever it will be called) and if it were available this week I would probably have run right out and gotten one. Fortunately I am not at the end of my contract and after thinking about this, I have to say it is probably best to wait and see how the phone really works before making the decision to get one. I am hoping ...

Z520 Camera Button solution :)

I tried this and it does work to disable the camera button. From: http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic40772.html Thanks to the poster: JerryBoyIsHere Posts: 1 Sat Sep 16, 2006 3:20 pm Sony Ericsson z520a camera button fix Ok guys, I seem to have found a solution. But again tell me if it works on your phone too. The solution does not require beating the sh*t out of the button like many of us have been tempted to do Anyway, here's the trick: Problem: 1. Flip open the phone, ...

Re: V551 and Razr V3 -- Which one has the best reception?
May 24, 2005, 10:08 PM
in the Motorola forum

I have never used a Razr, and right now I have an unlocked v505 from ATTWS. I bought a replacement extendable antenna and the reception improved markedly indoors. I would suggest checking out the 551 since it does have the stub antenna. Logic tells you that an external antenna would have more surface to pull in the signal than an internal one. Also, check that the antenna on the 551 simply unscrews, if it does you can then find ...

Does anyone know if Sanyo ever plans to release phones for GSM providers?

Re: Samsung and voice-dialing

I don't think that T-Mobile offers voice command as a service. At least I am not aware of it. I do prefer to get unlocked phones rather than those provided by the carriers and that is the reason I was asking about Samsung in particular. :D

Samsung and voice-dialing

With Samsung moving into BT phones, what is the problem with adding voice-dialing capability to them? The whole point of BT is to avoid the wires, especially when driving, but not having voice-dial means that you have to get the phone out and select a name or dial a number to make a call. With more states cracking down on cell phones while driving without headsets, voice-dialing seems to be a necessity.

I actually saw a D500 today, it is a wonderful phone but the main problem is with all the nice features like bluetooth it still does not have voice dial! I hope that you will say in the near future that some of these new phones from Samsung will correct that problem :D

I have an old ATTWS Moto v505 that is unlocked and I called T-Mo and asked what setting I should use. They talked me through the process and everything works fine now. I also had them setup an old Nokia. Try calling T-Mo and see if they can help with your unlocked phone, after all they areonly interested in you remaining a customer, and if using an unlocked phone is what you want to do, they still get paid ...

Re: D500 >>Missing major feature

in the T-Mobile forum

I just researched and realized that the D500, while having BT, does NOT have voice-dial capability! Seems like a waste to have the BT available and still have to get the phone out to dial a number. Like a lot of people, BT is great when driving but having to get the phone out to dial/select a number seems to be ridiculous. I hope that Samsung corrects this in the future, I realize that this is one of the ...

Well, I don't know if it will be the RAZR-berry or not, but I am including this link to the RAZR that T-Mo is planning to offer in the UK. http://www.t-mobile-campaign.com/futur ephones/

New phones

in the T-Mobile forum

I was at a T-Mobile store earlier in the week to see about upgrading my phone and the manager told me that the Moto v330 was not being sold due to some software issues. He also told me that there are several new BT phones on the way, notably from Samsung. I believe that one of these will be the SGH-D500 slider phone and the other might possibly be the SGH-e720 clamshell. I was also stunned to hear that ...
