I knew you would ask that, lol thanks very much for all your concern. Yes, the Samsung support person warned me about that. All the files have less than 8 characters in their titles. Word today is that T-mobile will in fact not issue me a new handset but I may be eligible for a returned/reserviced handset pending further managerial decisions. I don't mind really; so long as it works properly. The card reader absolutely doesn't work at all ...

No stupid questions, I appreciate your interest. Yes they are mp3's. I copied a CD to my hard drive in mp3 format, then uploaded them to my card then placed the card in my phone. Three of the songs played succesfully, the remainder of them said unrecognized file format and would not play. When I put the card back into the card reader, all the songs appear as I originally loaded them. It's just frustrating because there seems to ...

Cant read mp3's off the card. Despite the mp3's being loaded to my computer hard drive identically, then uploaded to the rs-mmc, most of the mp3's will not play on the phone due to "unrecognized file format". THe bit rate and file size doesn't seem to be a common factor.

Yup, did all that. Even talked to Samsung customer service and they couldn't help me. They did however talk me through some options with the data cable that finally succeeded in loading mp3's to the RS-MMC. They seem to think there is a problem with Dell, although my Gateway and Micron PC's had the same problem. If anyone else is having trouble uploading, contact me for a possible solution that isn't in the lame help file. (Data cable only)

I bought the card reader and the data cable from the Samsung website but neither allow uploading of mp3's. Has anyone else been able to master this? I'm running windows xp on a new Dell laptop. I've also tried on my other two desktops without luck.
