Bluetooth security has its issues: http://www.schneier.com/blog/archi ves/2005/06/attack_on_the_b_1.html but at least I'd want my PIN to not be hard wired to 0000, as the SEMC BT headset that came with my P910a does. Weak.

hence no one has been trained on the item and some tech support guy would be completely guessing (and wasting his time doing so) to try and get it to work. Funny that, my (DSL) ISP didn't ask me what model computer I'm using before giving me DNS/gateway/address settings. Why should my GPRS ISP be any different? If the operator doesn't carry the phone model I'm using, of course I don't expect them to walk me through that particular phone's ...

What you're really after is a bunch of settings like DNS servers, gateway IP addresses and such, correct? So, here's what I would do: 1. Go to the nearest Cingular store. 2. Buy the cheapest GPRS-capable phone they have, with contract that is cancelable for free within 14 days (30 days in CA I believe). 3. Activate it. 4. 1. Haven't tried yet, but I believe it can. 2. I had to transfer a smaller (~200) contact list from a PalmOS phone to a P910a. I ended up exporting the Palm contacts as a vCard file, manipulating it a bit to make it acceptable to the P910a and it all worked. With hindsight, it would be easier to just export Palm to Outlook then import Outlook to P910. 3. With 64MB of ram I would't ...

I've had my P910a for almost 2 weeks now. People that I talk to on it tell me that the sound from my phone is too loud, and that they can hear every background noise too. It gets to the point where if I'm in, say, a coffee shop, I may have to step out for people to hear me.
