Just got these in. Very nice... Like the look. OS is fast. Much better than Duo.

Nevermind. I got it mixed up with another phone. We may still get it, but it will be Winter at the earliest.

I now this may sound vague, but I can't remember the time frame I was told (mid-sept, etc). I know it was by the end of September, but I'll believe it when I see it. Anyone else have any updates?

Does your second statement mean that at&t will be getting the e71? If so, have you heard a time frame for when at&t will get it? Thanks.

Re: Regular Keypad Smartphone... anyone?

in the AT&T forum

I guess it was just me, then. I just would like to have a smartphone that's a little more compact. All of the (windows based) smartphones that we offer are pretty large, sans the Duo (which I'm not a huge fan of). I would've liked the N75, if it had come from Nokia untouched, but I think we all know that wasn't the case.

Regular Keypad Smartphone... anyone?
May 13, 2008, 6:49 PM
in the AT&T forum

Why do we no longer offer a regular keypad smartphone? Is there anyone else that likes them, besides me? I think the last good one that we offered was the 2125. I really enjoyed that phone. I also had the updated MPX220, which was solid. For some reason, I prefer the regular keypad with T9 over the qwerty. Any thoughts?

FYI - There are plenty of phones on the "Do not insure" list that we've never carried. The information that I got from the SE rep was on 2/21. I don't see any reason for him to mis-inform us. I guess we'll see what happens. This was going to be my next phone, but now I've lost hope.

Well I won't speculate, but that was directly from the Sony Ericsson rep. I'd trust him a bit more than an at&t rep (assuming sales rep).

You can always check the coverage viewer to check our coverage in the places you travel to the most. I tend to think that at&t has excellent coverage, especially in rural areas. Here's the link: http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewe r/

I bought the Motorola v365 for my dad. It has excellent reception, the ringers are loud, and the speaker and speakerphone are both loud. This is a great phone, especially if your dad is rough on phones, as it's very durable.

No. The only one that's required is the Blackberry Internet Service. This gives you unlimited Internet and Email service, along with other bandwith like Google Maps. The prices are 29.99 for just BIS, or 39.99 for BIS and 1500 Messages, or 49.99 for BIS and Unlimited Messages. This also qualifies you for the $100 rebate.

Awesome! I'm glad someone feels the same. I can't really say that I "hate" the iphone, but I do "hate it" due to the fact that we can't sell it. Would I own one, if we could? NO. I think the Blackberry Curve is a much better phone. I think the iphone is one or any combination of the following: a hustle, for apple fanboys, the results of marketing genius, or simply a status symbol. I really ...

I totally agree. This is the best phone I've ever had. It's funny, when I tell all of my customers that, they look at me like I'm trying to pull a fast one. I've had mine for over 6 months, which is probably the longest I've had any phone. You won't be disappointed.

1. The voice quality, imho, is outstanding on the Curve. 2. I've never had Verizon, so I cannot answer this one. I use at&t in the Dallas/FW area, and I've never had any issues with coverage. Keep in mind, at&t does have a 30 day cancelation policy, if you do change your mind.

I tend to disagree. I believe that this is coming from the onslaught of all of the problems they had with the v3. The newer products, including the v3xx, seem to be much more reliable. The problem, it seems, is that they seem to have lost some customer loyalty due to this. Also, all of they're products seem to be higher end, and with the talk of recession, nobody is willing to pay up to ...

Totally agree with you ATL. I'm an agent, as well. I can't put it down! :D This device is supposed to make me more productive!?!? I actually returned my N75, for several reasons. First off, I love Nokia and it's nothing against them. I still believe they're the best phone maker in the world. However, the N75 should have come out 6 months ago, and basically during that 6 months, someone ...

Yeah. My E62 did that. I love that feature. It's really nice when you're using a bluetooth headset, because it actually says the name in the headset. This is especially nice, because you don't have to pull out your phone if it's in your pocket.

I think that's the first time I've ever seen ANYONE apologize in a forum. I too, get fed up sometimes with all of the speculation. However, I do understand that this is the point of this forum (at least at this time). BTW... I've got a better feeling about the phone coming out this week (possibly next), than I have since this phone was announced.

I spoke with a Nokia rep, as well. He pretty well said the same. The 6126 is coming to Cingular (I retract my earlier statement). The 6085 will replace the 6102i, which will be a gophone. He said that the N75 could possibly be pushed back go April. I sure hope not. I really was looking forward to buying a 3g Nokia, asap. The N75 prototype that he showed my was awesome.

Question about N76
Jan 10, 2007, 11:06 AM
in the Article: CES 2007 + iPhone forum

Does the N76 update to HSDPA, or is it the same as the N75 (UMTS)? Also, is it just me, or does it seem like Sony Ericsson and Nokia are on their way out of the US market? Both of their showings at CES seem a little disappointing.

Cingular purchased some UMTS 1700MHz spectrum in certain locations. That means that when they build out that network, people who have current Cingular 3G phone with the UMTS/HSDPA (850/1900MHz), will have to get new phones from Cingular when Cingular makes 3G service with the 1700MHz band available to the public, in order to take advantage of their new network band. Same with T-Mobile customers when, T-Mobile launches 3G service. Sort of. Except the fact that the current Cingular ...

I totally agree with you Omagus. I think all of motorolla's current models are over-priced and over-rated. All of their phones are nothing but cash cows for them, boosting their profits. In the meantime, Nokia has become a more innovative handset maker (especially on the high-end). Their reliability and reception is far better than motorolla, which is true for all of their handsets. When I sell any Nokia, I feel confident that the customer ...

Get the N75. We will not be getting the N95, and the device similar to the N95 will probably be introduced well into the year (IMHO). I will, no doubt, be getting the N75. This, to me, is by far the most anticipated phone release for Cingular this year (along with the w810).

I saw this phone in person, recently. It's very impressive. This device will be able to use just about any e-mail server, including blackberry ES. If it's really at $150 with a 2 yr, it's really going to be huge for the business consumer & Cingular. I only wish it had a camera. I probably won't buy it, though.
