So true. "Keep in mind, a majority of our customers select a two-year contract when buying our devices, so we are responding to what our customers want." As if they haven't made it very distasteful for people to sign them. When I worked at VZW our manager told us "You don't do one year contracts. If they insist tell them to call 800 number." It was bad for our metrics. Think of all the ink they will save by not printing 1 ...

Charlotte, North Carolina

I noticed Charlotte was the only city that has the state it is in referenced in the post. The reason why I point this out is I read a Charlottean (sp.) complain about this one time and then soon after started noticing it in articles. It is funny because I have visited Charlotte and it is a large metro area and I don't know of a different Charlotte in another state that is anywhere near the size. I can't ...

I see what you did their. That was a pretty good "false Dillema" fallacy. We only have two choices: safe or unsafe sure or unsure you have to do this or we'll just make it illegal Common sense in law enforcement will help to prevent "terrorism" far more than ID check at the wireless kisok (I spelled that wrong on purpose... if you've ever worked at one you should know why). Google doesn’t currently make available a widget or app that would let you do Google search directly from your phone’s home screen." 8O I really thought this was one of the supposed advantages to Android. Was I hallucinating at the VZW store when I typed a query into the box on the droid's home screen? Say wait a minute aren't you folks at ATT pretty cozy with Mr. Jobs?

Exactly! The 903 was sweet. It was a Vodafone exclusive that was eventually unlocked. You either imported it or bought from someone who did. It was not a US market phone. The 902 was a nice phone too.

I know what you mean. The irony is that Sharp makes excellent quality phones for Europe and Asia. Most people would be surprised at how advanced their Jap market phones are. Their reliability is pretty good too. Why do the US market Sharp mobiles have to be poor quality and often missing basic features? Hmm... that's a mystery.

I too have worked for multiple carriers and would concur with azeron. I don't agree about it just being a job. Many people would have more loyalty to their employer if it was reciprocal and they were doing biz above board. Wireless carriers are just as guilty as the others.

I will agree with you that some people like those phones. I don't. But again if I could provide my own phone (which I would not ask them to fully provide tech. support) that would eliminate this complaint. I am not making this up, it works other places. I have been to a few places its normal. VZW has an attitude problem in my opinion and I perceive it in their policies and public statements. "Smug" comes to mind.

Ok... unbranded. Is that more accurate for you? "Just curious... did you realize what I was referring to from the context? A phone that is not "branded" or sold by VZW. Giving people more choices. Don't worry I vote with my feet. I wish more people practiced that as well.

I concur. 18 April 2010 could be my day to break free. The latest was today's explanation that if a pic message is too large the overage is charged as data. So the 75 cents or whatever they charge isn't enough. I get hit with the $1.99 charge for several hundred kilobytes (at most). As long as this subsidy/contract system predominates it is unlike to improve much. If the GSM carriers could cover more rural areas things would change ...

how does cingular take advantage if they will have a harder time getting CINGULAR EXCLUSIVE phones. We live today in a global economy Cingular is small potatoes when compared to Vodafone, as a matter of fact Vodafone is much larger than SBC who is cingular's Parent Company. They are a major- INTERNATIONAL player. Cingular will have a chance if they start marketing to the REAL AMERICANS. You know the ones who could care less as long as things are cheap, ...

I have searched High and Low for downloadable games for my Siemens s65. I can't find any decent ones. The one I really am looking for most is a good backgammon game. Does anyone know a good site where I can get backgammon and others free or not? I am using an unlocked s65 with T-mo so I need a site where i can download them straight to my pc then to the phone with my cable or bluetooth.

T-MO PAY

Just wondering if anyone out there knows what T-mo's base pay for sales reps is? Obviously there is commission pay. Could someone tell me the average a rep takes home a year for instance at 100% of quota. I will be working in Florida if that helps. I just passed the second pre-qual test and I want to have some sort of an idea before I schedule an interview.
