Games & Applications (For The A630)
Hi all. I used to have a Sony T610 and I got most of my games from Mobile9.com. I just got the Motorola A630 and I'm having a hard time finding games. Does anyone know where to purchase games or where I can find free ones?
Thanks

Re: The Camera
The quality of the camera is ok. If you're looking for a good camera phone, don't get the SKII. But if the photos are just for fun or something on the side, sure, it's good.

Re: Default Start-up
Yes, the main menu CAN be rewriten... if one knows Java you could do it yourself through the SDK package from the HipTop developer's page. However, if you can't do it yourself or find someone that can, you're out of luck.

Re: SideKick Ringtone Question... (for those who have the phone)
Ringtones: Nope, no personal ringtones can be downloaded to the SK. You can order the ringers from the "catalog" only.
My Stocks: I have no idea.

Re: ringtones question??
As far as ringtones, you can't download personal ringtones to the SKII. You have to order them from the "catalog" which is built into the SKII main menu. Sad thing is, most of the ringtones provided for the SKII are HORRIBLE! Poorly made and there is a limited selection.
Yes, Sync is $10.00... It's only a one time payment though. You download the software and run it on your computer. the software is called "Intellisync".

Re: MSN messenger
The SKII currently does not have MSN support. I'm sure you can email the developers or a 3rd party programmer and recomend an MSN add-on.

Re: HTML BROSER?
The browser loads at about half the speed of a 56k dial-up modem (I'm sure it depends on the area that you live in and signal strength). It has full HTML support, however, thats where it stops. No Java, no flash. Don't get the SKII browser mistaken for a Wap browser. Wap it is not! On a good/bad note, the SKII HTML browser was made to format pages to fit the SKII... Not all web sites care to ...
Re: Instant Messaging (AIM, YIM, ICQ)
Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll head over to T-Mobile and take a look at the A630 today. Live instant Messaging is a nice feature to have, but if the other features on the phone make up for it, I think I'll still get the A630 anyway.

Motorola A630 - Instant Messaging (AIM, ICQ, YIM)
I have a Sidekick II right now. I'm planning on replacing it with a Motorola A630 due to size. I’ve read professional and user reviews on the Motorola phone, however, I haven’t seen any comments on instant messaging itself. I specifically use the SKII because of its “Always On” connection and handy keyboard. I mainly use the Email, SMS, and Instant Messaging services. It seems to me that the A630 has it all except the IM feature. Instant Messaging ...
