I'v heard some devices can only read up to 1gb or something. Anyone know if there are any limits to what the Blackjack will read off the microSD card?

Yes, it will ring and vibrate at the same time. But you can turn off the vibrating in the settings menu.
As for the side buttons, you can customize one of them as a shortcut when the phone is open. When it is closed the button on the right turns on the backlight for the external screen and takes it out of idle mode i guess you could say. And the button above the +/- buttons mutes ...

Yes.
Only 5mb storage, so what i do is i used a program i downloaded from download.com that will cut segments of a song, so you pick the segment you want as your ring tone and send it over the data cable. Set it as your ring tone and your done.
Very easy, and free.....

i have used newegg.com multiple times. Built full computers from components ordered from their site. Never ordered a cell phone from them.
Everything came a day ahead of schedual. UPS ground usually takes 2 days.

I cant seem to get my computer to recognize my phone. I download some files from sony and some others that i read about on a forum. The cable i got didnt come with a CD but it is a sony ericcson cable.
Could anyone who has the cd copy the files off the cd and email them to me please?
or link me to the correct drivers and an aplication so i can send mp3's to my phone to use ...

so any plan that states a certain amount of night and weekend minutes etc then its considered promotional i will have to get a contract

Basically thats the question. I got a new phone recently and want to go ahead and get a nation plan rather than region, to do that will i be required to sign a contract?
also i will be needing to buy a SIM card for my new phone, will they give me any hassle for that? i'v heard i can buy one from them for $30ish bucks and be done with it.

I was just looking on amazon cause i know you can get the s710 there for much cheaper after there offered rebates and whatnot but like most people i dont want to change my phone number. Amazon does offer to port numbers for other carriers but not Cingular. Has anyone heard of when they may start porting Cingular numbers or if its ever possible that it will happen??

On the website it says the price is 79.99 with 2 year contract. can i go into the store and get this phone for 179.99 without a contract? plus the activation fee's and whatnot???

My contract ends March 3rd.
I'v heard from a few people that if i upgrade my phone then i get a $100 discount on the phone.
Does that mean that if i renew my contract and get the phone for $399.99 i will get another $100 off of that? or is it $100 off retail if i dont renew my contract?
or am i just completely wrong?

If i get a phone online that dosent come with a sim card, how much does it cost to get one from cingular? and will i have to sign a new contract to get the sim card? my contract is up in March and i would like to not having to sign a new one. So you cant have different ringtones for different people/groups? how about the contacts, can you put email address, and AIM screen names in the same contact? i am also concerned about the keyboard sliding out when you dont want it to?? has that happened to you yet?

Yeah, i'm expecting a $299 with 2 years.
Seems like mail in rebates are occuring more and more often on cell phone deals so i'm hopeing one will come for the s710a.

I am not familiar with the s700 so heres my question.
can you access your phonebook from the external buttons or does the phone have to be fully open to access the phonebook to make calls?
i'm guessing the voice dialing will work while its closed, but how about accessing the phonebook?

Ok, we all know this is just a regular phone... sorry no camera or bluetooth. After all is said and done is it a quality phone? how does it feel? will it open when i dont want it to? does it seem to big?
