To actually answer this thread I'll tell you what I've heard as to why there's the lack of mms. Steve jobs as we all know is a control freak. Giving us the mms feature, someone would figure out how to send iTunes content, thus Steve would be Losing his .99 cents per song. This is the same reason why we can't send stuff via wifi or Bluetooth. It all comes down to losing that cash money. ;)

Switching back come july.
I gave up the original iPhone for a blackberry last month,
But after seeing the new and improved iPhone I'm deffiantly switching back come July.
Of course there's still things its lacking, (MMS, video recording,) and all the other obvious things a phone shoukd have-
But still to me these things arnt all that importaint.

URGENT question
I just bought a blackberry curve from best buy.
The text messaging isn't working. It says the messages I send are sent, but the recipient dosent get them, and I'm not receiving messages people are sending me.
&&I'm positive i signed up for the unlimited texting.
Whats wrong;;and Cingular is closed now!

if the i2 is just an iphone with 3g they can keep it. I live in the boondocks of Pennsylvania where 3g is non existant.

I've had my iPhone since the day of its arrival and I have a couple questions.
When, or should I say are we going to see a major firmware update enabling multi media messaging, and all the other things people swear this mysterious update will add and fix.
If this update isn't for real, or not in the near future I'm seriously considering going back to a good old blackberry and iPod.

I've had the iphone since the week of its arrival and since then there hasn't been any major updates really.
When are we going to see a firmwire update to fix some of the things that SHOULD have been fixed a long time ago?
Things such as MMS, AIM, maybe video capture, 3G would be nice and I heard that COULD be added through firmwire, lets see what else, maybe a voice recorder?

no currently theres no extended warranty.
Apple does however offer a "sorta-kinda" warranty basically giving you extended tech. support and replacement if your phone screws up. I was offered it but A.) it was expensive and B.) it really didn't cover anything. Say you accidentally broke your phone,dropped it or something ..that wouldn't be covered. So really its pointless.
If you Google it..there are a few company's that offer warranty for iPhones.
I haven't tried them out however.

yup. i called apple about the 100 dollars credit and while they had no more information than the website "open letter" offered they said that this should all happen by next week. So i guess thats 100 dollars towards a new ipod :D

well honestly i was not expecting a price drop on an apple phone. ipods never go down in price so i thought the same for the iphone. im not really mad and like i said i dont regret my purchace. and i actuallly didnt wait in line for days. i got it maybe the 2nd week it was out? but anyway i just find the dramatic price cut intresting in that it happned so fast.

refurbished 8 gb iphone is down to 349.99 wow. I was one of the losers who paid full retail 499.99 for an iphone with 4gb less storage.
On a better note..the new ipods look pretty nice.
and it looks like us iphone users will be getting an update very soon. one of the updates will be itunes on our iphone. you will be able to buy music from itunes on your iphone. Sounds great! hopefully there will be a bunch ...

i had a similar problem, only when i tried to play music from the ipod..I couldn't hear the music through the speaker. I called apple and they told me to plug in the ear buds..then unplug them, this for some reason worked.
If that dosent work call apple and they will replace the phone at no charge im pretty sure. Only charge would be if you wanted a loner iphone while yours is getting fixed. that would be ...

I love my iphone GET OVER IT anyway the reason i would like another phone is because carrying around a glass phone can be a little risky in some situations and when school starts i don't want to take the risk of having it stolen; or me losing it. And In our school were not allowed to have iPods but we are allowed to have cell phones so I really don't know how that ...

thats one of the things i LOVE about the iPhone. how simple it is to use. sure other phones may be able to do more but there so confusing I could never figure them out. And I'm talking about pocket pc phones such as the palm 750.
like you said most of the flaws in the iphone will be fixed in a later update (hopefully soon)

well if your looking to do email and sports and other various web oriented things I'd deffiantly go with a phone that has a query keypad as well as a larger screen. yes the n75 is a godo phone but with no query and just an average screen; web browsing isn't to enjoyable. Check out the 8525 and blackberry's (curve and pearl) also keep in mine the blackjack which is now available for insurance.

Instead of printing the damn thing out and wasting half an ink cartage and 7 trees let alone the cost of postage they should just send you the simple invoice and give you an option to go online and download the 3000000 MB. pdf file of your bill. Barely any of the music on my iphone was bought from itunes. it was from purchased cd's and limewire.
the iphones keyboard works just as well as any other query keypad. in fact I can type faster on it.
I am not a trend follower. I like apple products. there reliable and all around good products.

i completely agree. but for me I haven't really experienced any of the call quality issues..maybe i just have good hearing but the volume on mine is fine, i havent dropped any calls and reception is crystal clear. maybe im just in a good area. any other 'flaws' i can think of can surely be fixed in a itunes update.
