Yeah, this has been coming for a LONG time, we knew it was happening. The buyout actually happened some time ago but we just finished re-branding and started converting SunCom customer so our service. It gives us coverage in the Carolinas mostly as well as a few other places.
We just launched the telesales end of it today and I can say I am absolutely NOT thrilled.

It wasn't so much a horrible thing he said to me it was just inane.
"You're only doing this because my mom's hispanic and I have a white last name." I don't remeber what the name was, he was trying to use his mom's credit card and putting his name on the order.
I'm in a call center, it was a CHAT, I couldn't see him or his mom.

It's honestly stupider than that.
I work in a Call Center.
I don't work that shift as it is! But they won't let me take a 22 hour schedule, they want 30 or more... there area bunch of us they are just letting go rather than work with... like half the staff here are students of one flavor or another.
Until this fall they had always been outstanding about working with school schedules, now they blow.

Ah sadness, I was hoping somebody would play with me. I'd even extend the date to the 3rd since nobody is going to be in on Monday.

So it's officially Crazy Day and nobody bothered to tell me.
This looney says she placed an order and wants to exchange, she was told we were sending her a return label... which we do... usually... with our orders.
I search, her only order is over 18 months old. She is just SURE we are doing an exchange. We aren't, she's outside of that CONTRACT, nevermind the return period.

So that was all last night. Today I get all the crazies.
This woman calls in saying she never placed any orders with us but has a $150 charge on her card from us and that it isn't valid.
I want to help her, I'm nice like that. So I go through all sorts of loops, track down a credit manager and find the offending order, all this time thinking it's fraud. She's insisted that she placed no orders ...

Pretty much.
She really made me mad and I ended up noting her order that she was NOT to be credited shipping. She was advised of the timeline REPEATEDLY and I got really sick of her abuse. I never loose my temper like that but she really got under my skin.

Oh no, refusing shipment is much worse than accepting the package and sending it back.
You see we have return shipping labels in every package because our return center is different from the place the package ships OUT from. If a customer refuses shipment the package will first sit at UPS for 3 days then go back to the Texas location where it may sit for up to a week before they slow-boat ship it to the Georgia center... ...

We're encouraged to have personality, it makes the customer happier when we have some pizzaz and are friendly and stuff... it's honestly what I expect from customer care too so I'm always really disappointed on the rare occasions when I get a bad rep.
