I've been running ATK on my D3 for several months and my phone is not "screwed up". I'm sure you just read that on the internet somewhere and assumed it must be true. :?

Thanks very much for taking the time to help. After switching to CDMA, I also turned off Google location which I didn't realize worked much like GPS. After that, I made sure auto synch was switched off. Now, my battery is staying at 100% for 12+ hours in standby. This is great! Today I had 3 short calls and my battery still stayed on 100% for almost 12 hours. I'm not sure which one ...

Thanks for the reply and help. I had turned off global roaming and set it to CDMA only last night. I hope that will make some difference. This morning it still dropped from 100% to 90% within 15 min of unplugging it. Unfortunately, this is consistent with its 10-15% hourly drop in standby I've been seeing every day. What setting do you have in your Phone Info(*#*#4636#*#*)>Set Preferred Network Type? Mine is set to "CDMA auto (PRL)". ...

Battery Life is Unacceptable

in the Motorola Droid 3 forum

First of all, I love the features of this phone. Unfortunately, the battery life negates any advantages of this otherwise awesome phone. I thought I had the problem solved by turning off the data connection until I needed it. That seemed to work for a couple of days, but now it's back to its normal battery drain. I've tried every possible solution I could find and nothing works. I have everything turned off or turned ...

It's a relief to know the phone isn't defective. Thanks.

Phone not ringing on every call.
Sep 14, 2009, 5:31 PM
in the LG enV Touch VX-11000 forum

Twice in 2 days, someone has called my phone and it didn't ring. I had no idea anyone had called until I heard the voice mail tone. There is also no record of a missed call. My ringer is set on high and I can call my phone from another phone and it does ring. Has anyone else experienced this intermittent problem?

No reason for asking... I'm just curious. I use the horizontal (swivel) leather belt case with the magnetic snap.

To the best of my knowledge, the Touch will not sync or accept push email. However, you can access web based email as well as send text messages to and from email accounts.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had actually already started doing that as a work-around. It would be nice if there were another way to correct this, but I guess this will have to do. Thanks again for your reply.

The battery heating issue has been mentioned before. I believe Verizon will replace your battery to take care of it. Your touchscreen problem sounds like you may just have a bad one. If you like the phone otherwise, I would certainly take it back for a replacement. Mine has been great so far with no real issues.

How do you make the D-pad "OK" button to not "Send"??
Jul 11, 2009, 2:28 PM
in the LG enV Touch VX-11000 forum

Does anyone know how to set the inside D-pad "OK" button so that it does not send the message? I've accidentally sent a few unfinished messages when I was trying to use the directional arrows to edit the message and hit the "OK" button in the center. It would be great if the only way to send a message was the actual "Send" button above the D-pad. Does anyone know how the remove the send function from the D-pad "OK" ...

Mine had the same hinge problem. It also kept rebooting. Tell them it keeps rebooting and they will give you a new one. My new one had a tighter hinge in the beginning, but it's loosening up the more I use it. I guess I'll just live with it. The phone is great in all other aspects.

Yes... just open your pictures from the front touch screen and scroll through them. You can get to your pictures from the regular (stamp) menu or put a shortcut to your pictures folder in your short cuts.

I have several pics on my PC that I'd like to copy to the phone. When I link it and try to move the pics from the PC to the phone. It complains that they're not the correct format. So far I've tried "jpg" and "bmp" format without success. Can someone tell me which format they need to be so the phone will recognize them? Thanks

Re: Is it an improvement over the Voyager Titanium?
Jun 10, 2009, 6:34 PM
in the LG enV Touch VX-11000 forum

I haven't let my battery drain all the way, but it takes a couple of days to just drop one bar. The battery life was a concern for me too, but so far it doesn't seem too bad. Mine has yet to crash. Granted, I only had a Voyager Titanium for the 30 day trial period. But so far, this seems to be quite an improvement. So far, I love it.

Actually, "Hang up and try again" is a pretty silly answer. I've never had to hang up and try again on any phone I've owned. Sorry I wasted your time with my inferior question "O Board Lord". Your arrogant fascination with your perceived self-importance is a bit nauseating.

I tested a titanium Voyager at Verizon and called a friend. My friend reported good voice quality on their end, but my friend sounded unclear as in "Charlie Brown's Teacher"... very muffled. Is this a common occurrence? Thanks for your input.

I've haven't tried the Vgr yet. That's why I asked about the voice quality in my original post. The LG EnV I was talking about was one of the first models to come out a couple of years ago. That's the one that had the bad voice quality, and that's when I picked up the E815. I really like the form factor of the Lg. That's why I was hoping it had improved. Hopefully, I'll be trying it out soon.

Thanks to everyone for their input to my post. The reason I even asked about voice quality was because I tried out the very first model EnV, and thought the voice quality was just not acceptable. It was very "tinny" sounding. I really hated to return it because I loved the text friendly form of the phone. I ended up settling on the Moto E815 because of it's excellent voice quality. I was hoping LG had ...

How is your voice/call quality?
Nov 27, 2007, 10:37 AM

I'm considering this phone. I'm one who would use it as a phone about 80% and texting 20%, so all the other features I wouldn't really use. What does matter most to me is the voice quality, and I was wondering what everyone thinks about the voice/call quality on the phone? Thanks for your input.

Dec 27, 2005, 3:55 PM
in the LG V VX-9800 forum

I tried both. I loved the LG for everything except talking on the phone. It had some really nice features and is awesome for texting. The problem was in the difference of the phones when used as a phone. For this, the E815 is the clear winner. The reception, voice/call quality, and voice dialing were way above the LG. I wish I could have kept the LG9800. It was very impressive. But, since I use my phone as a phone 90% ...

Mine does the same thing. I believe it goes back to the original ring or vibrate once it's unplugged. I always thought it was some kind feature to eliminate missing any calls while charging. Sorry, but I don't know how to turn it off.

They are very subtle clicks. The hinge is supposed to sound that way. At first glance, the 815 may seem less durable that other phones. But, after most of us have it a while. We realize it's just as durable as any other flip phone. Will the phone be around in 50 years... doubtful. Will it last the duration of your contract... easily.

I'm with you Paul. If you can't answer a question without being an asshole, then just don't answer it. Some people post obvious questions not because they can't look in the manual, but rather because they just want to be part of the forum and discussion. To our self appointed "manual police"... please chill.

Blocking A Certain Phone Number
Aug 11, 2005, 11:42 AM
in the Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood forum

Is there a way to block a certain phone number from calling in? I've had my number for several years. During this time I've have a certain number that keeps calling my number. It belongs to an elderly couple who obviously have it on speed dial for the previous owner. They accidentally call often, so I get voice mail filled up with a very long and boring "eavesdropping" message. I have called and asked them to please remove my number ...

Re: My E815 battery meter doesn't work
Aug 11, 2005, 10:10 AM
in the Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood forum

My 815 battery meter stays on full for quite a while. Once it drops below 6 bars, it seems to drop pretty fast. My phone, with my amount of usage will last about 3 days. I usually recharge mine every evening so I never have a problem. My battery actually lasts longer than I expected it to, so I am happy.
