But see it from the company's perspective, the customer is using their network! You pay fee's with other industries so this is really nothing new. Banks charge people monthly fee's to hold their money all while they are making money for holding it. It's all relative when you step back and see it from both sides.

As one of your loyal customers but also one that works for a large corporation I understand what AT&T is doing. To me they should make no excuses for what they charge! They offer a solid network with a strong portfolio of products for both business and consumer and should charge what they believe to be a fair price.
You don't walk into a Mercedes dealership and expect to pay Honda's prices!

The point of rollover data is both T-Mobile and AT&T are telling their customers that they are never stopping their efforts to try and improve the customer experience on their networks.

They are buying their customers now and this is a good short term solution but hand cuffs their potential for network enhancements which in turn causes customers to leave. What nobody fails to ever comment on is the network of both Verizon and AT&T and how they dwarf their competitors. Sure T-Mobile and Sprint work well in metropolitan areas and in some rural but they're not even close to the network you get with Red and Blue.

Well he was kinda right. The article mentions that VZ won't throttle data on those using the grandfathered unlimited data plans. The only problem with this is that VZ doesn't allow you to upgrade at promotional price or go on their Edge plan if you are on the unlimited plan. This has made many of their customers mad especially when AT&T is allowing their customers to keep their unlimited plans and get promotional price!

But I think its to both Sprint and T-Mobiles advantage that companies are not allowed to line up and purchase spectrum together. If this was the case both AT&T and Verizon could drive the prices WAY up and cause even more problems for the rest!

I said in a different post that this could backfire on them because AT&T doesn't have to renew their agreements with them even "if" the FCC steps in to regulate prices...which they did back in 2011.

This could and probably will backfire on T-Mobile. If the government steps in and sets acceptable roaming rates this doesn't mean that the carrier (AT&T) has to sign an agreement with them! They can look to another company for the business and leave T-Mobile hanging out to dry!

But everything you wrote is true! I have AT&T and I am really impressed with not only their network but their customer service. I had Verizon for about 9 years before switching and although their network was good, it just wasn't that good where I lived and traveled. Their customer service was decent but not like what I am experiencing now with AT&T.
