Storelead just proves that forums like these are full of crap. You don't know jack about verizon's network so why don't you keep quiet and save yourself the embarrasment. LOL sprint roams off of verizon? YEAH RIGHT hahahaha Verizon and sprint run on the same technology but we are on different frequency spectrums. They have a different block of PCS spectrum than we do. We'd have to allow eachother to transmit and recieve on the same band.

Actually, the user interface is totally different than the 8300. Similar, but very different.

Is there a quick vibrate mode on this phone? I know if you hold the * key it will lock the phone. Is there a way to change the phone's profile to it's vibrate profile?

Probably because they made a mistake telling you. Now that the whole world is calling them they now realize that it was a mistake, so they're trying to play it off as if they don't know that way they don't get too much attention.

You guys gotta let go of the analog. In the NY metro region, we are getting rid of all analog facilities to the cell sites. Probably gonna be the same throughout the whole nation.

How is the VX7000 battery life?

As stated in the subject. How is the battery life on the 7000 with normal use? Also what is the longest you went without charging the phone, assuming little to no use? TIA

Re: Any E815 Problems Yet?

in the Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood forum

That echoing could mean problems in the network. There might have been an issue with the echo cancellors. I'm sure the network team is well aware of the situation and is fixing the problem ASAP. Things like bad echo cancellors is a big issue in the network dept. anything that isn't working or is out of service is taken very seriously. Try calling up customer service and open up a trouble ticket with the network dept. Hope that helps.

Re: MSN, YAHOO, BUT NO AIM!?
Jul 3, 2005, 12:03 AM
in the LG VX-8100 forum

IMHO, there's no point in using your phone for AIM. Just use text messaging. Its faster and it probably comes out to about the same cost as connecting to 1x. Whatever dude...to each his own.

Jul 2, 2005, 4:53 PM
in the LG VX-8100 forum

No offense dude, if you're buying a phone just to have AIM on it, then why don't you just go buy a different phone. The purpose of a cell phone is to make phone calls, am I correct? Cmon give me a break. If you decide not to buy a phone just because it doesn't have AIM, then you have issues.

Re: vx-8100 music!!!!!!
Jul 2, 2005, 11:24 AM
in the LG VX-8100 forum

They're going to have a service called Music On Demand. Thats how you will be downloading mp3's onto your phone. My guess is that it'll cost around the same price as the itunes phone that the other carriers are going to put out. If they made it any more no one would want to download it because of the cost. I've also heard people converting mp3's into midi format and then sending it as an attachment to your phone. People ...

Re: Newbie Question - Motorola 815 vs LG 8100
Jun 28, 2005, 10:12 AM
in the LG VX-8100 forum

I'm personally going with the LG because of build quality. I have the 4500 and its been about a year and a half now and it's still a solid phone. LG's make solid phones, they don't degrade in quality after a long period of time (unless you treat your phones poorly). I really like the functions of the 8000 and I'm hoping that the 8100 will have the same functions plus more.

SMS text messageing on front screen?
Jun 24, 2005, 3:54 PM
in the Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood forum

I really like the function that the 8100/8000 provides where it displays the text messages on the front lcd screen. Does the E815 do the same?

Re: E815 On Verizon Internal Site as of 06/22/05
Jun 24, 2005, 3:52 PM
in the Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood forum

That would make sense because the big addition to the E815 is EV-DO...If you're in a market with no Vcast available, go with the V710.

Re: I have a Question
Jun 24, 2005, 3:47 PM
in the LG VX-8100 forum

1xEV-DO is the name of the technology that Lucent has created to allow end-users to download at very high speeds with extreme mobility. What you are thinking about is Vcast, which is what "yeahright" just described.

Jun 24, 2005, 9:14 AM
in the LG VX-8100 forum

Yeah, I myself am thinking it over again also. I mean...will I really use bluetooth? Or will I really need 512 mb or memory? I really like that you can read SMS on the front screen and I it looks like the 8000 screen is bigger than the 8100. So i might just get the 8000 also.

Re: mini sd card
Jun 23, 2005, 4:48 PM
in the LG VX-8100 forum

The phone shouldn't have a limit of how much memory it can support. The purpose of having an external memory source is to be able to add more memory. So logically it shouldn't matter. Have you ever come across any piece of equipment that had a limit to what size secure digita card it can support? From my experience I haven't seen anything that limits the size of the sd card. I could be wrong, just my two cents.

Re: MOTORAL VS SAMSUNG VS LG!?!?!?!
Jun 23, 2005, 4:45 PM
in the LG VX-8100 forum

I've had an LG vx4500 for about a year and half now. No problems whatsoever, although the signal and reception have deteriorated a bit. But it's still a good phone in the end. Reliable, not just the service but also the phone.
