Not according to Motorola..... At least not when I called them to inquire. and if that is the case then you have another law suite of complicity and fraud.

You might think that is true but right now call Motorola and ask them if it has been disabled and they say not to their knowledge. I think calling a manufacturer of a phone should be good enough. What would you do if you called Ford and asked them for the specs on their car and you loved it. You bought the car and then found that the dealer changed the engine on you. What would you ...

The problem with the know it alls like us is that we assume everyone in the world can do the research. My parents go on the internet but are not as savvy as I am and have a hard time doing stuff like that. I myself did not buy the phone because I did more than the average research. Under Anti trust there are many different facets. One is the monopoly and from what my friend the lawyer told me is others include practices which in any other business would be called deceptive. Since Verizon is a multy state company it would fall under this..... Not exactly sure but this is what I was told.....

Check website again.... I just did.... There is the 8910 but not the 9900... they have it in the store but when you say you want it as I did they say its no longer available and steer you to the 265 or the 6100.... and runaway jury was a great movie but it can happen... with the best intentions we can have a runaway jury.

Go watch the movie Runaway Jury..... Then think again..... Its not about the BT, Its about Verizon and their deceptive practices. Did you hear about the Audiovox 9900??? Verizon took it out of their collection because Audiovox had their Phone tools that would sync with the computer so Verizon ditched the phone without a word.

That would be great if the coverage of the other providers were as good. I travel a good bit and have had MCI, AT&T, Cingular, and all had lots of dropped calls in areas that my Verizon does not. That is where verizon gets you. I wish Cingular had the coverage but the I-95 corridor and the surrounding areas are very shotty at best, as they are in the Pocono area where I spend lots of time. Too bad ...

Not everyone has the internet and some who do are not as sophisticated as others. And yes interstate commerce is under the guise of the congress, and the violation of those rules should be looked into. It cost Microsoft millions to settle their problems with the justice department and lets hope it cost Verizon its company or at least a pice of it.
