No I don't have a data package but from my research reviews and such indicated that no data package was required. This is in conflict with what I'm being told by sprint in light of having the phone and trying to use those features of the phone. With previous phones I could access the web and pay a casual use fee of 2 or 3 cents per KB which worked fine because I used it for only directly visiting ...

The thing is i can't seem to access the web. When I launch the browser or try to access a URL I get an error message about needing a browser configuration service book. But like I said when researching the phone I had seen it said that browsing and GPS maps and step by step directions didn't require subscribing to any data services or the likes. I contacted sprint and they are telling me I have to subscribe to ...

Blackberry Maps (or other maps) help please

I decided on buying this phone as a replacement to my unresolved issues with the KRZR K1m. I was not up for spending money on the off chance that a replacement phone I get would not have the poor battery life it got compared to the actual time it was supposed to get after having had 4 total phones with the same exact problem. But anyways to the point of this thread. In researching this phone I was of the ...

Thank you for your reply. I am no longer employed by the government however I still receive the discount with sprint and it was so long ago now that the discount was setup that if there was an email address involved I have no clue what it was. However I can tell you the type of business was public school system in a city nearby where I live. What about the rest of the features of my plan. Would I ...

Current sprint customer with questions

Ok i know currently this phone is not a sprint phone. I am wondering two things. The 1st to which I am guessing may not be possible and which would be the more costly option to me is getting this phone if its possible to use it with sprint even though its a AT&T phone. So call that question #1 is it possible to use this phone with sprint? Question #2. I currently have a family plan 550 anytime (daytime) ...

Well to update from my last post. The full recharge only lasted abo7ut 3.5 days of standby time. I only talked on the phone during that time about 5-10 minutes. So please someone tell me am i supposed to wait more charges to see the potencial Kendallish mentioned or do I contact Motorola and have them do something?

I just finished charging the phone. Its been off of the charger for a couple hours now. Its probably been charged at least 10 times before this. I'm going to track exactly how long this charge lasts to see if there is significant improvement. I'm just really peeved at buying a phone that is supposed to get like 14 days of standby time and so far I've gotten 5 days best so far. Checking the phone info just after ...

Battery life.... What do i do?

Here is the details. I 1st got the phone Feb 10th. Nearly all the time the phone is just in standby. I will make up to 10-15 minutes of calls in one day. The 1st time I charged the phone i only got a little over 3 days standby. The next few times a little bit more. But after that I was lucky to get less than 2 days of standby. I exchanged this one on March 3rd ...

I guess its not a big deal if all that has to be done is a new battery is given and not the whole phone is replaced. The 1st two charges only lasted 24-48 hours on 99.9% standby. I made a few calls of only maybe 1-2 minutes each. I don't use my phone all that much so when I get one that says its supposed to get 17 days of standby and 210 minutes of continuous talk I'd ...

Can I backup the phonebook and settings and stuff using bluetooth? It appears the battery and/or charger system is faulty on the phone because in 24 hours or less of standby the battery needs charging again. It took me forever to enter all my phone numbers and set ringers and alter the settings. $60 a month thats like crazy... why isn't it part of vision? They state unlimited data for the vision service shouldn't that include PAM? Your probably not ...

To use bluetooth for adding ringers etc do I need the moto phone tools or can I simply just beam the stuff with my PDA via bluetooth to it? And what is a PAM plan? I don't recall seeing anything on the site. I do remember seeing into of vision. Is that what I need if I want to connect my PDA to the internet via the phone?

PC sync / USB capability: So like the retail box comes with the phone, battery, charger, microSD, and papers. I'm pretty sure I won't be syncing unless i can sync it to my tungsten T5 but I am wondering can I move mp3s and other files for ringers etc to the phone via USB or do I got to take out the miniSD, use the adapter, then put it back in the phone. Making my own ringers and other customizable stuff: I ...

What about if there is no vision package? I am only on a free trial for it and don't intend on keeping it since I feel the price is steep for what it offers. I was looking for a way to connect to the internet without having to pay anything more than for my monthly plan since this is what I was told before I got my phone. Using my palm to view the internet would be a rare ...

Are there any good cases that will prevent key pressing? even with the key guard any key can be pressed and turns the screen on for a few seconds with the option to unlock. if I keep the phone in my pocket this happens way too much and is turning my expected 5 days battery life to only about 2 days (I cut 2 days off the 7 day life since in a 5 day period I might use ...

I have a free netzero dialup account. Thats the number I was trying to dial when I got the ppp rx tx displayed on the phone. I hate the dishonesty I have been presented with by sprint so far. At first they told me using BT to connect my palm to the internet would just use my normal plan minutes and there were not going to be any additional charges and no extra services I needed to subscribe or ...

How do I set up my T5 to use the phone to connect to the internet. I tried some sort of custom connection and dialing with type ppp and it dials and i get a display on the phone with ppp... rx tx or something. I hope i didn't encure any charges for anything other than a minute or so used out of my unliminted nights. I want to browse the internet on my T5 nad i din't know this would ...

stevelvl said: that is correct and if you do not have the phone as a modem option on your plan and you use your phone as a modem it will charge you wireless web mins that is roughly $.40 a min. the reason is when the phone is used as a modem it dials #777 and makes a data call. when vision is used normally it does not do that so it is unlimited. the best option is to use ...

I believe that it lists the charge to the right of that if there was any. I assume since it said 3 out of 0 that there was.

I just got the phone and when I activated it they gave me 2 months of vision for free. They told me without it there is a $0.07 charge per KB. And I do believe you are correct on the txt msgs if I remember what they told me the last time I asked.
