T-mobile gains more than any other company over the last like 5 years and they are actually profitable. Now do they make as much as the big 2 no. But they don't need Sprint and would survive without this merger. A better merger would be Dish and T-mo less debt **** load of spectrum and possibility of UNCARRIERING the bundle cable market. Merge with Dish. Dish has stalled on finally starting to plan spectrum build out. Where as T-mobile over last couple of years have built out fast. Why not just merge with Dish they have a lot of mid band spectrum and nationwide satellite also would of made more sense. Nah neither company needs each other and hopefully this is the end of this merger talks between the two. Comcast could buy a stake of Sprint from Son and Dish and T-mo could merge and both would be fine. T-mo is already maintaining a million new customers a quarter and making 100's of million yea and its not billions a quarter like the big 2 but still shows they don't need to merge.

As a home broadband customer that lives in the 4th largest city in America in Houston in a middle class type neighborhood that's about 8 miles from the downtown main courthouse I'll take this if it means faster internet speeds. Blackberry at 0.5 percent smartphone global share is pretty much done. While Windows phone worldwide is around between 3-4% and hasn't grown as fast as Microsoft would have liked; I can see with Windows 10 cross platform and a new refreshed browser overall instead of old boring Internet Explorer them making a turning point.

In America a major purchase takes at least 6-10 months to get approved then finalized. In Mexico it takes 2-3 months lol. At&t first mentioned this in November and now it's January. Mexico must of really needed the cash influx off the taxes of this deal overall.

Ouch to Verizon customers. Verizon's feeling the pressure from the lil guy T-mo with its Uncarrier moves. This should be $299 at most on contract not $399. Like I said with Uncarrier taking some prime customers from the big Boys and the AWS auction draining money from the 2 big Boys we probably will see more price gauging from Big Blue and Big Red.

It's clear US Cellular can't compete well. The last few years they have made money buy swapping or selling out spectrum and customers to the Tier 1 players. Verizon feeling that T-mo heat that is coming
Verizon most likely doing this because they know T-mo is about to release initial markets of Band 12 spectrum that they bought from Big Red. So, once that happens soon and that improves T-mo's coverage in dense buildings and outside of major city limits then with T-mo's ETF payoff Verizon could see a decent amount of people jump ship. So, in this instance this is most likely why we see this change.

I had Consumer Cellular about 2-3 years ago. I had it for like 4-5 years before anybody really knew about it. Before the company did all the commercials and had the distribution it has today. My point is it is a good company with good customer service. Some of the customer service people actually use to work for At&t. I would recommend Consumer.

Regional carriers are worth less than national carriers. Mvno's are worth less than regional carriers. At&t says they will expand LTE coverage to 30 million more pops by the end of year. The exact amount of unused spectrum Leap/Cricket has. It looks like as soon as At&t takes over Leap they will build it out and use that spectrum right away.

Exactly I am surprised how nobody has noticed this yet. US Cellular agreed and sold off at the end of last year 10% of their overall business to Sprint for around $500,000. Earlier this year they agreed to sell off some AWS spectrum to T-mobile for around $300,000 this deal should close soon. My point is why would they sell all this spectrum including major markets to Sprint unless they have something even bigger in stored?
