I agree. Often if I know somebody is driving and I need to get a message to them I'll text them so that they'll get it after they get out of the car so I don't need to remember to send it to them. Also, nowadays most smartphones have a driving mode where it will read an incoming text out loud to you. Am I liable for an accident because I knew you were driving, even though I had ...

Keep in mind that if they were to do that they would also have to replace the phones for the customers. The Alltel phones are CDMA and the att phones are GSM. Albeit, the cost of replacing those phones is likely minimal compared to receiving $60 per month.
