Well, I finally saw one but it was only a display model. I was a little dissapointed in the size of the keys as they are very small and bubble upward. The phone is almost idendtical to the 6355i but the 2865i has a larger screen, smaller keys, and bluetooth instead of the camera.

The question was what was the best CDMA phone, not the best gadget. I currently have the 6255i and think it is a very good phone, however I don't use most of the extras and wish I would not have spent the money to get it. Just a person preference I guess, to each his own.

What about the Nokia 2865i. I don't personally have it but I have heard some good things about it on other forums. No camera though on this one.

How about the all important reception. I've always liked Nokias in this area since I travel in very rural, low signal areas. I don't want to get a cute, small phone that can't hold a signal!

Anybody have it?

V710 vs 6255i

I currently have a moto v810 with a regional carrier Midwest Wireless. I am less than satisfied with its reception and am trying to decide between these two phones. It sounds like the v710 has slightly better reception?? Is it worth the extra money?? I live and travel in a very rural area so reception is very important to me. Also is it possible to hook up an external antenna to the 6255?

I am wondering what kind of reception the 6255 gets in fringe areas. I currently have a Moto V810(w/ regional carrier Midwest Wireless) and am less than satisfied with its reception. I am trying to decide between the 6255 and the moto v710 (which despite some things, seems to get great reception) for my next phone. So what do people have to say about the 6255's reception? Also I have heard that candy bar style phones actually get ...

Does anybody know if and how you can turn off the sound that plays when you turn the phone on/off when it is in loud or soft ringer mode?
