In my area there is a small CDMA company that has unlimited minutes for cheap. I also have Verizon because when I first got a cellphone, my parents had Verizon and I still have my contract. Can I put a 2nd line on the VX8100? Or, when my contract expires, can I unlock the 8100 and use it with the cheap unlimited minutes carrier?

Here where I live, there is a small wireless company [nTelos] and they offer a cheap unlimited minutes plan. Could I use a Verizon phone for text/instant/picture messaging [which nTelos lacks because it is a regional smaller carrier] and then put the nTelos line on NAM2 [nTelos also uses CDMA] and use that for my phone calls?

OK, thanks. I knew the GSM/SIM thing, I was just making sure everything would be okay since I'm not just buying it from Europe but buying it from a European carrier. thanks.

As some of you may know, T-Mobile UK has alot of awesome phones [Samsung D500, Samsung E720, Black Razr]. Could I buy a phone online from them and take out the T-Mobile SIM and put in a Cingular one and use the phone, and just choose a small pay-as-you-go plan from T-Mob. UK? This would be a Nokia 6820 cause I know it has the 850 band.

cingular is coming to my area tomorrow. and i was so excited... and then i saw this. does this article mean that i can have an awesome megapixel camera phone with more than enough memory and be able to watch music videos on it for $100? and will the VX8100 work with it, cause i'm digging that phone.

I'm REALLY STOKED to see a 850 version.A couple of months ago I almost bought an unlocked 6230 to use on T-Mobile [which sucks here] just because I loved the phone so much. In three weeks, Cingular will be coming to our area and I can't wait to save up and have the Nokia 6230i my first GSM phone. So long Samsung SCH-a670.

There are new CDMA phones....that Verizon takes way to long to put out. I feel the same way. Verizon has great customer service [I have never used] and recpetion [like every provider in my area] but no decent phones. Yesterday I was exploding when I found out that Cingular was coming to my area in early 2005. Now I'm saving up to cancel my contract. The only problem is I don't have enough money to buy all the phones I want ...

Sorry, I've been looking around, but just joined. I would like to know a few answers, sorry if they've been asked before, but thanks for answering them. 1) I hear the phone is bigger. I drew out the dimensions on paper, and it does seem rather large. For those that have had the phone in there hand, is it gigantic, or is it large enough to seem sturdy.
