Yeah, unfortunately I'm in Boston so the 4g is on CONSTANTLY and is draining the life out of my battery. It sucks. :(

Has anyone found a way to disable 4g from being on constantly and sucking the life out of the battery? Are there any decent apps out there that will do the trick?

Hi everyone, I just recently purchased this phone for my boyfriend and we have been experiencing random rebooting with it. Has anyone else had this issue? I tried to take it back to ATT and they gave me some problems which I don't want to get into because it's a complicated situation, so before things get even messier with trying to exchange the phone, I was wondering if anyone had any solutions to this problem? Thanks!!

I'm torn on which phone to get. Any opinions?

I currently have the W810i and I LOVE it as it has been nothing but great to me these past two years, but I'm afraid it's just time for a new phone. I've come to love SE, and I want my next phone to be made by them. Same here. I love my W810 and I just can't find anything else out there that compares. Hopefully the X1 will be promising! :)

I have the Skins one as well. I love it. I bought it at an American Cellular store along with a car charger for my phone and they only charged me $20 for both.

I had some trouble with Sprint too when I tried to port my Virgin # over to Cingular. Hang in there.

Oh, hey... I just went on Amp'd's website and they lowered the price of the Angel to $99 too. Well, that's better. :)

I just signed up for cingular service last week. I bought my phone and plan at a radio shack, and I told my salesperson that I wanted to bring my old cell phone number over to cingular. Well, the store was closing soon so she just gave me a random number and told me that I could change my new number to my old number later on. So, now I really want to do that but I've looked everywhere ...

Yeah, I remember reading something in one of the new Virgin Mobile brochures that they are getting 2 new phones. One is called the Snapper and the other is the Slider Sonic. Since they have the original slider, I'm pretty sure they are talking about the slider remix.

I'm assuming that verizon will get it, and hoping too. None of verizon's phones right now really appeal to me, but if verizon get's this phone, i'd definitely go over to them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.... :wink:

I remember reading on a website (can't remember the name of it) that it's gonna be released in August. Not sure when exactly though, or what it's price will be.

So excited about this phone. lol, I'm such a loser. But when they first came out with the Slider, I was like wow I would LOVE that phone if it had a camera and music ringtones and all that jazz. And well, my little wish came trueeee! I'm soooo psyched. :D

Yeah, I'm psyched too. :) I read on a website that it was coming out sometime in August. Not sure exactly when, though, but definitely that month.

I was just wondering if anyone knew if Virgin was going to come out with any new phones soon. I know they came out with the Flasher V7 at the end of last year, but I'm talking about even newer stuff. If anyone knows anything, I'd really appreciate it if you shared! Thanks! :)

I currently have the 8610 phone for Virgin Mobile, and I want to upgrade to the 8910. However, I want to know if the v7 still has some of the flaws as the 8610 does, or if it has been ugraded. The ringtone volume is SOOOO soft on my 8610, even when it is on it's highest volume! Also, ringtones only last 20 seconds. Does the Flasher still have these same ringtone problems? Also, where is the speaker on ...

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I've never used a motorola phone before and I'm thinking of possibly getting the v551. I know the external display on the phone shows the time, but is it also a caller ID that says the name and number or one or the other or neither? I was just curious. Thanks!

hahah I've been having the exact same problem. I can't figure out which of the two to get! Does anyone else out there have any other input on whether they think the v551 or SE z500 is better?

My mom has had cingular for YEARS. She's always called our house and it's so incredibly choppy when she calls. We can't even hear her or make out a single word of what she's saying. I never had that problem with my Virgin Mobile phone which runs off of Sprint's network. So just the experience I've had with cingular makes me think that it's a weak service.

I know cingular's reception sucks and all, but they have a pretty good selection of phones to choose from, whereas I'm not so impressed by Verizon's phone selections, even though I know it has excellent service.
