Ha ha! Shows what kind of morons Sprextel hires and how lousy their training is. Verizon reps in my area are more then fully trained on selling these devices. Why would Sprint not train their front line on these devices? The data aspect is pure profit.

HA HA HA! Radio Shack employees are trained longer then VZW employees on Verizon products?!? What a joke. You know how many complaints we get about Radio Shack employees at VZW corporate stores? I have yet to meet a Radio Shack sales rep that makes anything close to what VZW sales reps do for that matter. Most VZW sales reps make as much or more then Radio Shack managers. Get a clue.

Look for a late June release. I don't care WHO'S friend's sister's cousin's boyfriend's uncle whos best friend's grandmother works for Verizon. Or what they say for that matter. Late June. The only correct thread on here is the one who said they called LG and they told him that it wasn't going to be until late June. That's right. End of June. End of subject. Who cares how I know.

Yeah, but the v710 push backs were known to Verizon employees (that cared anyway). There has been NOTHING released to VZW employees regarding the e815's preported release dates. There hasn't been any push backs announced either. I can't divulge any more info except a May release wouldn't make any sense b/c of new services that Verizon is going to offer come June/July.

Jun 1, 2005, 11:19 AM

I never understood why Phonescoop had the release set in May. There was nothing officially released by either Motorola or Verizon saying it would be. There wasn't any indication that there would be either company either. In terms of forum information and knowledge of people who post, Phonescoop probably has the most inaccuracies. It has been known and everything but confirmed on other forums that this phone won't be released until late June. This has been posted with ...

It's blue. Also, it is much better constructed than the v710's keypad. I don't own one yet, but I got to play with one while it was still in testing.

May 28, 2005, 7:45 PM
in the Samsung SCH-i730 forum

I heard what pricing (FOR NOW) is going to be on the i730 today. A birdie flew in my window and told me. Price with 2yr contract: $649.99 Price with 1yr contract: $699.99 Price at Full Retail: $769.99 Take it for what it's worth. Of course, VZW pricing is ALWAYS subject to change as we all know. It could change the same day it's released, who knows.

No offense to Phonescoop but you guys should go to HoFo and bring over the info posted there to here. There is a BOAT LOAD of rubbish posted here about this phone. Also, all this "NEW" info has been posted on HoFo for about a month.

When you said NSR do you mean National Single Rate? If so, the reason you may be having difficulty is because you need a tri-mode phone with those plans. All digital ESN's are valid with those rate plans.

I agree. Most sales reps find the v710 too difficult to use and prefer to cell LG's because they're simple thus creating a faster sale. LG's have pretty much become the "go to" phone for Verizon sales reps, regardless of how good they really are. I personally prefer the v710 to ANY LG currently available and am 99.9% sure I will upgrade to the e815 rather then the 8100. LG has been disappointing me time and time ...

I could care less about bluetooth. I've had a v710 with the revised firmware and have had absolutely no problems with the phone. By the way the v65p was not released out of nowhere. I would seriously be shocked if this phone was released in Verizon stores in May.

I don't understand why Phonescoop has this phone's release date May. Maybe because that's when we'll start to see it at RS stores. I keep telling you guys in many different posts on this website that there is NO WAY you will see this in Verizon corporate stores until AT THE ABSOLUTE EARLIEST the first week of June. I'm more willing to bet second week.

There is no release date yet. I'm not sure why Phonescoop has the release date as May. I don't see any way that this phone will be shipped to stores before the first week of June.

Apr 20, 2005, 9:29 AM

Expect the 8100 to be out very soon. On the new LG car chargers that they sell at the Verizon stores it ends with "...8000, 8100" on the bottom where is lists compatible models. They just started saying that on the new shipments that came last Friday. I would say mid May to be honest.

Yeah, he's right. If you've had your equipment for over two years and you've been on ANY rate plan of $34.99 or higher for two consecutive years, you are eligable for New Every Two - Bar none. Regardless of what you saw on the website, in actuality that is how it works. There is absolutely NO time frame that you have to upgrade your equipment once your NE2 eligable.

Actually I just found out today that phase 4 testing has just started. I re-checked the info from Ho-Fo and the phone is in the system, SKU and all. There's just no physical inventory yet. It's pretty much just prepped to be released. There is the actual phone model listed as well as the mock up model.

TommyBoy, The 6600 and 7250 aren't crippled because they do not utilize BREW, therefore no reason to cripple. I work for Verizon and will agree that the crippling of the v710 (and unfortunatly the e815 so I've seen) was a pretty poor decision, but like I have said time and time again, age old BREW contracts are the reasons behind it.
