I went to my local corpoarte store and they told me that they no longer carried the Samsung D307. This was also true for the agent stores in the area. It's still listed on the website for my zip code but didn't know what the deal is because on the website you have to extend your contract, which i'm not interested in. I'm located in Mississippi if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Is that a serious question? If a RAZR is UNLOCKED, of course it will work with Cingular. Wow...stay on the west coast "oc_girl"

I'm having wierd software problems. It just freezes up with a blank screen, and i have to take the battery out to restart. Power cycling doesn't help. The software version is 04.43 from August 28, 04. If I do a lockline exchange, will I get another 6230 or would I just have to call and find out what they have in stock? Thanks Shane for talking me out of an upgrade a week or two back. ...

thanks for all the suggestions... i guess if i'm doing a contract extension, i'll just wait and see if cingular re-releases the 6682 where i'm located, or maybe go with a w600

I currently have a Nokia 6230 that I've had since about March. I like it, but don't really take advantage of the Bluetooth so that isn't a big deal, and am thinking about getting the Samsung P207 on a one year pushback of my contract. It's relatively inexpensive, and seems like a good flip phone. I keep a camera, and upgrade my screen, and lose simultaneous vibe and ring, speakerphone and bluetooth. All things i can ...

I'm from the south and don't really ever hit a BIG city really other than places like Memphis, NOLA, or Jackson so Cingular is always badass, but I'm heading up to NYC for a week this saturday. I'm sure I won't be on the phone that much but was just wondering how the service is anyways in case of some freak emergency or for any other reason. Thanks

I read on the VZW forum, that starting Apr 18th, they're getting Mobile to mobile text messaging. Such as 9.99 for unlimited VZW to VZW texts and 250 non-VZW texts. Anyone think Cingular will follow suit? scott

I'm on the GSM Nation 600 plan with the OLD media works (1500 txt, unlimited media and 200 mms) with about 300 rollover minutes. If i downgrade to the Nation 450 will that affect my grandfathered MEdia works plan and also will I lose those rollover minutes? Thanks, Scott

I'm a Cingular user, but that response was ridiculous. CDMA was developed by Qualcomm for the gov't back in the early 90s i believe and IS a better technology. Also, because it was so recently developed, and developed for the US gov't by the way, is why Europe uses GSM. Also, China and a lot of Asia countries are pushing CDMA big time...just check the increase of CDMA users over the past couple of years.

Whats the non-contract price for a Nokia 6230? (nt)

I've also heard from a few Orange Sales reps that the nokia line doesn't hold a signal indoors as well as the moto, which has prompted some hesitation on my part. Is there any truth to this? Thanks

I have the V551 but don't think its the greatest. I like an OS to respond quicker to the touch of a button than the moto does. I've had nokias all my life before the V551 and am thinking about switching over to the 6230. Anyone had any bad experiences with the 6230? Also, i'm in the central/ne mississippi market if that makes a difference. Thanks

Confilcting links from Cingular's website. This link: https://www.cingular.com/media/media_purchase shows the old media works, but if you act like you are signing up for a new plan and look at your list of additional features you can add it has the new media works pop up if you click the "MEdia works" link. I'm going skiing this upcoming week in Taos, New Mexico. I know Cingular has coverage in Sante Fe, but anyone know about north of there in Taos and Taos ski valley?

The V262 is available here in Starkville, MS; i played with it the other day. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't release that phone nationwide.

I bought the 8910 today. The phone's reception seems very good and the speakerphone is actually pretty loud i thought. If you're not going to use the camera and think it might be a waste, you might want to look into the motorola V262...it's seems like motorola upgraded everything on the t720 and made the v262.
