Take away
Of course this is just my humble opinion, but two thoughts:
1. I think this proves Sprint is no better off under Softbank than they ever were before. Everybody knew this deal would not go through except Masayoshi Son, who for some reason took almost a year to figure it out.
2. Dan Hesse being shown the door. Its years too late but at least it finally happened. Hopefully there is a purge of all executive leadership at ...
Focus
That's nice and all, but how about focusing on getting the 8.1 update out in the first place?
Verizon too?
This may have impacted Verzion prepaid as well, my mother's phone would not dial out, calls to it said the number had been disconnected, and texts would not go through. When trying to log into the account online, all it would say is "System Error. Call Customer Service." Then around 12:30 pm it all magically started working again.
Re: Good & bad
Well, I don't know if its an "app" or not but I would point out that you can assign Verizon's PTT to a "DC button" on the phone, and at least in the case of the Blackberry version, it is very much an "app," so saying it isn't an app because it has a DC button is, well, uninformed.
I agree with Eric
From the review, the pics it takes are completely mediocre. I was expecting better for all the talk.
Still limited to 3G?
Is Verizon's prepaid data still limited to the 3G network?
Didn't take long
Since they can't blame this on the Nextel acquisition, I see they found another scapegoat to blame.
New Bogeyman
Guess Sprint will need a new bogeyman to blame their woes and lackluster performance on once the iDEN network is shutdown.

Poor Sprint. Nothing has gone well for them since the "Merger of Equals" I'm cheering for them though. I hope it all works out.
I'm not. They ran off all the talent at Nextel after that "merger of equals" so as far as I'm concerned they are reaping what they sowed.
50GB for $500
What a deal! I'll take 2 please.

Nothing is wrong with anything I like, because I don't use the things that are wrong.
That's the ideology of the "true believers" and also of stock holders. Anytime something is broken or doesn't do something useful, its blamed on the users not using it right or not understanding what it was intended for.
How dare you expect sync software to actually sync stuff. Google Calendar? Who uses Google anyway?

After reading this review this phone is average at best and battery life is unacceptable.
It is concerning. Eric points out that it hasn't been optimized for any US carriers yet, and that is valid. The other side of that coin though is that it wasn't loaded down with all the crapware US carriers love to put on it, so its doubtful the battery will improve a lot, in my opinion. We'll have to watch it.
Re: BlackBerry Boasts Record Z10 Sales
Well, its certainly not bad news, but without more details its hard to know if its great news either. The key will be seeing if they can sustain the strong demand, of it this was just a crush of remining BB loyalist showing up to buy the BB10 they've been promised for years.
Re: damn
Its not a promising sign.
